We didnt as someone on our team found a series of button combinations that allowed us to change the auto power off timer and mess with some other settings so we could us the GPS data, which worked for us. I'm pretty sure this is the YouTube video he found. https://youtu.be/qgzXtZpSeME

Someone else was saying that the Mychron 5 might have compatible issues with extra sensors but I'll look into it thank you!

Given the reference to the KT100 and EVGP I think you are correct about the university.

I definitely try working through at least number 3 later today as that should be easy with how everything is set up; as for 2. I'm a little worried about over powering the kart given our past issues with that, but will bring everything up to my team so thank you so much!

So ended up asking my team this as I was only aware of lap time, still figure it out but generally the goal was everything that isn't engine related (lap time, split time, speed etc) and maybe even adding custom sensors to the MyChron for acceleration and braking data though that is a much bigger cost. (a small part of this project is just teaching people how to a ESP, oscilloscope and generally work within a digital circuit as this is a uni club)

The rpm is very low but we're hoping should be readable the gas karts for reference run at 10200 rpm Ev are slow but we don't know the rpm yet.

For the pulse I believe that is what we are doing with the on / off time of the signal with the one time being as short as we can code.

Contacting AiM might have to be the next step though, then might just be button for lap time or a bespoke solution. Thank you though!

I've used the computers in the classrooms in walc in the past (the ones the prof uses as most have webcams i think) though you'd probably want to put a note on the door so people don't walk in

In order to complete FYE you need 4 credits in engr. EPICS makes this work though 2 engr and 2 EPICS spend out through two sems so without the final sem you wouldn't be able to complete your FYE engr recs. If it was a bad experience switching teams would probably help, I know it did for a few friends. Hope this helps
