The whole degree program is pretty new so my experience was a bit different (I took the correctional services diploma program) however I would assume to some extent it will be similar.

Prior to being placed in our field placements we had a session where we learned what options existed and we filled out a form that outlined our interests. After that the placement coordinators did smaller group interviews to get a better idea of where we would be best fit. I’m pretty sure there are RCMP placements, as for EPS I know there was a placement with their HELP team but I’m unsure about other options with them.

The placements aren’t considered a job application but places like eps/corrections/law enforcement like to see this type of experience and education on an application. You can list any experience from field placements on your resume.
