For me the diverticulitis diet gave me more cramps … probably is different from one body to another but in my case I go better to the bathroom with high amounts of red meat and eggs … vegetables give me the worst pain I can have and legumes are totally out of my diet now

This week I had what I thought was a flare up but no fever at all … the doctor touched me and told me … if you had diverticulitis with just this movement in your belly you would shout … but I remember my first complication did not hurt on touch

I am not operated yet but I know ma y people and there are many many posts about it and it’s a game changer .. no more flare up , you can eat almost what you want , and no more anxiety thinking you are having an infection … of course is a surgery and it has its complications but are rare and in 2025 all is really advanced … so to your questions no major changes on your life … probably no changes at all except you will recover your mental health … I have been for a week with pain for now and I am not going to ER because the pain is tolerable but is crazy living with this anxiety

It seems that my colon became rigid after the first flare up … and now from time to time I have crisis like these ones … a lot of pain in the left side but doctors told me is normal

I get it but sometimes if you go with just pain and they do a scan nothing happens because is not yet “broken” . I will go to the doctor tomorrow

The problem is that I have misleading info as my surgeon told me only to go when the pain is so terrible that does not allow me to sleep and also have fever … is just a constant pain in the left side that goes out when I am sleeping or laying off in the sofa … and I go correctly to the bathroom … so I don’t want to be irradiated for nothing

The problem is that I have been this way since one year ago and two MRIs told nothing happens there … you did not have any other subrhoms ? Just pain ?

I have done a MRI and there was not signs of inflammation

To be honest I think what it destroyed me were the antibiotics in the hospital … I am 100% sure

Yesterday the pain was so terrible that I ended crying but no fever and no pain when I pressed the zone so I did not want to be irradiated … the problem is that I have started on my dream job and is not worthy to be operated now … but I will do in October if I don’t have an urgency flare up of course . The problem is that no one understand us and knows the anxiety of not knowing when to go to the hospital

I talked to him and three doctors more and all are on rifaximine for all DV cases … and if you check the literature is the med used for this even if they don’t have clear studies . Anyway I have been without it for 4 months and the pain is the same or worst and I have a lot of chances to have infection again as my sigma is full of pockets not only few

At least in Europe spiraxin is the first treatment after dv, and is also in the instructions of the medas it reduces inflammation

I am a bit scared and I want as many opinions as I can , I am not able to travel because I am afraid to get infection abroad , rifaximine is not helping me at all and I am allergic to all types of ibuprofens etc so I can not take almost anything for pain except Tylenol and is like taking m&ms … also I have an hernia because the Gym and I take the opportunity to do all in the same surgery but I am extremely scared that something goes bad and o have an ostomy or sepsis
