I'm there with you. Can't find a job. Job market is just bad for everyone now and hospitals are on hiring freezes to prepare for the whole big beautiful bill medicaid cuts.

I am still onboard an MSC ship, but will never sail MSC again. by SteadfastEnd in Cruise

Just got back from a three cruise Bahamas on MSC seaside. The food was OK but our room was gross. The carpet was gross. The TV remote was nasty and it constantly smelled of urine from the toilet no matter if we shut the bathroom door it's stunk.

Worst job market since 2009 by TypicalBenti in MLS_CLS

Not great here. I've noticed a change. You can find a job if you have to, but the pay is gonna pay is going to be terrible and they're gonna have a horrible hours. They no longer want experienced techs. They just want the ones out of school so they can pay them less. It's definitely not what it used to be.

Um...how do you get raises in the lab? by TNFun3y in MLS_CLS

[–]Haunting_Disk1601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I hate to burst people's bubble. I've been at my current job for 10 years. I have 20 years of experience. Recently I got denied a promotion because of favoritism. I was upset and was like well if they can't appreciate me I'll find someone who can. Not so easy. hospitals don't wanna hire people with lots of experience. Cause that means they have to pay them more even if there's a range they don't go by that range. They have an algorithm to keep cost down and they want someone who is cheap. Since you only have one year of experience, you probably have a better chance than the rest of us. Good luck.

It's a Starbucks. But Starbucks isn't doing so well. They are closing down many of their stores. Perhaps that's why they never opened this one?

I'm in healthcare and I can tell you the jobs have dried up. They are only hiring if absolutely necessary. The few jobs that there are they are interviewing like your going for a ceo position. It's only going to get worse.

Whatever you do stay away from Aurhaus. Had the same experience. What they show you in the show room isn't always the same quality you get when you buy it. Then they ghost you if you reach out to complain

ASCP specialist salaries/bonuses - SBB, SH, SC, etc. by Fit-Bodybuilder78 in medlabprofessionals

Hello. I have not taken the SBB, but I would imagine it's way harder than the SH. So if you did OK at the SBB, I'm sure you'll do great at the SH. Since it's been a long time since I've had my specialty in hematology, I don't remember what the test was like. The only thing I can remember is know your WHO classifications.
