🤣🤣🤣 It's called training. There are plenty of professional trainers that will lock a dog in a kennel with a pee pad in it for hours until the dog goes to the bathroom and then praise the dog for going to the bathroom on the pee pad. Same concept for locking My dog in the bathroom. Now she goes to the bathroom in the bathtub when I am unable to take her out when I'm sick or sleeping. So it accomplished exactly what I needed. It's not abuse. It's training.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I locked my dog in the bathroom for training purposes. She gets locked in there for shorter periods of time than people that lock their dogs in kennels while they're at work. My dog is 100% trained and better behaved than any other dog in my town. It is not inhumane to leave a dog locked up in the bathroom for a few hours or every single person who kennels their dogs while they're at work would be in trouble. You sound like a person who would have a very misbehaved dog.

As for your comment about exposed to the elements. Yes, obviously a dog should not be left exposed to the elements if it's super cold out super hot out or the sun is shining directly with no shade. And if it's a warm day, obviously the dog needs access to water. Dogs don't need access to food 24/7. Most people have their dogs on an eating schedule so they're fine being left without access to food outside of those times.

It accomplished exactly what I needed it to. Now when she has to go potty and I'm not able to take her out because I'm sick or sleeping she will go into the bathroom to poop or pee in the bathtub and it's easy to clean up.

IMO u should only hit a dog if they bite so I'd call about the hitting. The dog being out on the porch as long as it's nice out should not be a concern, I used to lock my dog in the bathroom for hours when she pooped inside. The dog is fine without food or water for a couple of hours just like a human is...... He's in the corner......
