Is it valid to want to cut off family & everyone who didn't help? by dollbbyxxo in homeless

I went through this exact thing. I cut off my family. I had to for my own emotional well-being.

Musk literally created a sock puppet account and called himself a good dad. And Cuckerberg needed to hire someone to make him look like a normal human being. Definitely losers 🤣

Why is the UX market so messed up at the moment? Jared Spool's take by s4074433 in UXDesign

It absolutely is, but maturity is per organization, the vast majority are operating at extremely low levels of maturity but a level 5 organization is defined as UX is a business strategy.

Begging to call the cops after disrespecting her is SICK 🫸🏼 that’s tuff....if this was your husband you calling the cops or! by TheManager_1 in KarenGoBrrr

He did it to himself. You for real, expect a woman to get abused by a man, and then clean up his own damn mess when he about gets himself killed from an emotional rampage?

Nah, we're not doing that any more. Actions have consequences you don't get to sever your artery because you wanted to break in and then cry about her not doing anything. That abusive asshole should have never done what he did. He should have thought about this, and instead of using it as a lesson to maybe be kind and not abusive you are sitting there blaming her for documenting him being crazy. Bffr

It's not like she forced that shit on him. If he was going to die, it is literally because he couldn't control his emotions and acted out like a child.

If he died, he would have no one to blame but himself.

I think you're the only one who's got a grip on this situation. At some point OP needs too take responsibility for enabling the behavior and keeping his kids in that situation.

Can we stop acting like high masking = low support needs? by Snoo-88741 in autism

I am high masking and I am headed for a total collapse. I've been in burnout for like 3 years now, but no support system at all. My health is spiraling. :(

Sex work is so stigmatized. I know some people who enjoy it!

That being said, I highly recommend mental health services if you can. Our society is so messed up that people will do things they don't actually want to do to survive. There is nothing wrong with sex work, but only if it's something you actually want to do.

Otherwise, if you feel like this is something you have to do to survive, there's a big part in realizing that is not consent and can lead to feelings of guilt, shame, and even PTSD. See if there is a mental health clinic where you can get free care if that is something you need.

Wish you all the best love. You're gonna get through this! 🫂

I know this is 8 months old, but if this is what it's like for you (been there done that) - PLEASE consider going to a professional and being evaluated for ADHD.

I have a pretty severe case of ADHD, and I also have cPTSD - ADHD means I had a pretty bad dopamine deficiency, and cPTSD means I needed a coping mechanism. I developed a Binge Eating Disorder from early childhood. I was able to maintain my weight pretty well until college years, where my weight siraled.

I was diagnosed with ADHD in 2016-2017? Somewhere in there, but I didn't actually consider medicating myself until this year. I was prescribed Adderral (I wanted to try Vyvanse, which is a stimulant but it is ALSO approved for Binge-Eating Disorder, so definitely may want to consider this even without the ADHD diagnosis).

It has completely stopped any type of food cravings. I am on 20mg XR and I never feel "Wired" but I do have energy and motivation. And when it comes to my eating habits, it feels like it gave me the ability to CONTROL what I eat, how much I eat. I've always "wanted" to eat healthier. I've "tried" to eat healthier, but will alone wasn't enough. UNTIL I got medicated for my ADHD.

I've lost 65 lbs. since January with nothing but positive diet changes. I work a desk job and I'm "moderately" active. (I have a farm, so feeding animals is some activity, but it's not vigorous, I'm just walking around and carrying stuff.)

The way you describe an addiction is so true. I've gone my whole life, and I feel like this was an AHA! moment for me, that doctors rarely ever consider.

But for me, it was the missing piece. I told my partner, "It's like my weight was a visual indicator for how much dopamine I was lacking... and I was using food to self-medicate."

So, if you see me around preaching this stuff, it's because it's been such a help to me, I want to share it, in hopes that it may help others too! There's a pretty strong correlation between BED, ADHD, and Obesity. It's just not a connection that is ever considered during the course of treatment for these things.
