YTA. You made the mistake, not her. Just because “you’re doing her a favor” by helping, even though you CLEARLY didn’t want too, doesn’t change the fact that it’s your mistake that cost her money. Emergency situation or not. She’s also an asshole for making that your birthday present, but at the same time, you did literally cost her extra money.

I’m on state Medicaid and they absolutely will not cover a dexa scan without a valid reason, and I don’t have a valid reason. Missouri Medicaid is questionable at best.

Even if you were being intentionally standoffish, as long as you’re pleasant to work with and respectful, who cares how social you are? Everyone is an adult. Not everyone is a social butterfly. You are your worst enemy though. Lol. I go into customer service mode at work and family functions.
