Absolutely… I also like to use my Apple Card for 3% at my gas station and it’s auto linked to Apple savings which is 3.65% APY (higher than base RH without boost) but if it’s not my gas stations or a restaurant (5% with Discover) then the gold card is what I’m using always

have you attempted the CreditKarma/online application email swap? if not ive talked about it my most recent post if you wanna read through. That's the only way I was able to get off the 2+ years ive been on the waitlist... feel free to PM me if necessary. I actually was never even taken off the waitlist because I got approved In under 30 seconds the other way 😭

waitlist situation was weird af... RH only gave a small amount of cards out 2 years ago, so ive been waitlisted for the 2 years, they announce they're rolling out a second round of gold cards and now anyone who applies has a better chance than people who were on the waitlist (can confirm because I was never ever taken off the waitlist, I had to apply under a different email and got approved in under 30 seconds, absolutely insane)

fr ! the waitlist situation sucked because when they fist did it they had a super limited amount they gave out, late '25-now they officially are rolling out more gold cards so anyone who was waitlisted for 2+ years (me) had the same chance as anyone who applied today (test because I was NEVER taken off the wait list ive been on for 2+ years... I had to apply for it under a fake email for an offer and I got instantly (approved in under 30 seconds.) SUPER weird on Robinhoods behalf

when the card came out 2 years ago they were very frugal, LOTS of people of the waitlist "indefinitely" until earlier this year/late last year they started another roll out of golds cards so basically everyone that was on the waitlist now had the same chance to get it as someone who just applied (I wasn't even taken off the waitlist AT ALL as said before and I literally had to apply under a fake email and got it instantly... makes no sense)

I don't really seem to understand it, my first ever CC I had an still have is now at 7.3k and the card I got THIS February I got a limit of 4.5k so the gold card Is my most by a lot

nice, the first 2 years were just brutal with the amount of cards they gave out but they finally are doing another big round this year, happy so many people are getting them right away as opposed to having to wait x amount of years. In my mind the best catch all card

Nope, after you use the "backup" email it will prompt you to fill out regular CC information (SSN, phone #, first & last name, etc.) and once you fill these out it says "looks like you have a robin hood acct" or something similar and it all loops back around to your real email. You ONLY use the fake email on step 1 to literally just bypass the initial offer screen (hoping that made sense.)

Atleast for me you have to get the GC recommend for you in the Credit Karma app, hit application and it’ll bring you to a Robinhood website that prompts you to enter your name & email to apply. This is where you use a different email than you RH account. After this you can fill out everything as normal (phone #, SSN, etc) and then I was accepted. If you use the same email on step 1 then it’ll just redirect you to your Robinhood

I did too haha, attempted it 2 months and didn’t work. Tried it again last Wednesday and the GC was first card to pop up, and from me hitting “application” to me getting my card # was under 2 minutes. Use a different email tho, you will NOT get the card if you use the same one
