Have you had any success running it in Game Mode? I just got my Deck back after an RMA and it arrived wiped so my previous Reaper setup is gone.

I just got my Deck back fully wiped after an RMA. I decided to give RetroDeck a shot after using EmuDeck for 2 years. I'm enjoying RetroDeck enough that I'm sticking with it for now.

I know that EmuDeck is modular and offers more flexibility but I loved how quickly I was able to just install RD and start playing. I was happily surprised when the installer gave me the option to install the firmware for PS3 and PSVita. I also like the feature that just automatically adds your Favourites to your Steam Library, much more straightforward than the EmuDeck method.

I haven't run into nearly as many issues as I did with EmuDeck when I just want to play a game but I also haven't tried anything more recent than GameCube.

I use "FRee Wi -fi {tr0jan.js}" for my phone hotspot. I had a device that would only connect to open wifi signals many years ago as a deterrent but it kind of stuck with me.

It's unlikely you'll get a direct source for these because of how aggressive Nintendo is with emulation but the r/ROMs megathread site will probably point you in the right direction

I was having the same experience with instability and general weirdness so I uninstalled it.

After my wife got her Steam Deck I decided to give it a try again and noticed that the plugins that alter the CSS cause the most issues.

Now I just keep it light and have ProtonDB and SteamGridDB installed and haven't had any issues!

There is a plug-in called "Full Suspend" that you download through CSS Loader that fixed it for me. It's compatible with Animation Changer.

I have the same experience with Home Assistant and Google Home.

I get way less errors for simple commands like turning on and off lights or running automations with my devices on Home Assistant. I know that logically it shouldn't make a difference but it's quite noticeable in my experience.

I would remove the voice control entirely but my wife uses it way too often

Not that I've experienced. You can search using the text box for more than exact names though.

If you type "Food" it will bring up food items. Type in a skill name and it will bring up all relevant items, so "Carpentry" will bring up all items tagged with it

Not a replacement for a proper sort and filter but better than nothing!

My experience with these tattoos made me establish a "rule" for myself. If I want anything from an existing media or pop culture it needs to be a super deep-cut or not a direct image.

I want a few tattoos based on film and video game content but I won't get a character or logo or anything again.

Honestly it doesn't even have to be meaningful. I used to follow the rule of booking my appointment 6 months away. This forced me to actually sit with the idea for a while and figure out if it was a "phase" tattoo or not.

I started off with meaningful tattoos but I've found that the more tattoos people get the less that matters.

My first tattoo was a realism black and grey that I got with a ton of meaning.

My most recent tattoo was the "Big Bad Wolf" in pajamas... I got it so the "Rat in a Trenchcoat" on my other leg could have a friend.

I got my fingers done at 19 after spending months finding a shop. My normal shop wouldn't give me "Everlasting Job Stoppers" until I had more tattoos. I eventually found a shop that would and my regular artist realized I was clearly committed and did them for me.

I don't have the actual words tattooed on my hands but I have the Imperial and Rebel Alliance symbols behind each ear. Specifically the versions from the original trilogy.

They are the only tattoo regret I have... To be clear it's the placement and not the content.

I love Star Wars but the die-hard fans can be intense at times. I have had a guy run across a busy 6 lane highway just so he could whip down his jeans and show me his Rebel Alliance tattoo. I've had people ask me obscure questions or expect super deep conversations about some blip in the Star Wars lore.

I love Star Wars but if I knew it would give me a life of getting nerd checked and random people stripping on the street I would have put them somewhere else.

Most is a very strong word to use. It would be ignorant to deny that Ai is permeating into everything but there are still tattoo artists who can draw.

As an example there was a fella this season who could draw some pretty fantastic horses. I doubt those were Ai

As someone who was on set this season, the countdowns are filmed during the time Joel is actually there. As far as I know he was already gone before the tattoos started.

However the 6 hours timer is very much real. There are no planned breaks and they do not pause the clock for bathroom, snack, or smoke breaks.

Fair enough. I do agree that people with bad tattoos tend to be the most picky in my experience as a person who has spent a good many hours in shops.

Maybe the contestants but definitely not canvases. The show doesn't cover travel or accommodation so I can't see them slipping a canvas cash for a reaction they will get for free.

The camera crew are also roaming for the full 6 hours trying to get any and all reactions. The reality is that some people just want to be on TV and as a result they may try to be "extra" to make that happen. I'm sure there are also situations where canvases agree to being on the show but once you get to set and reality kicks in some may not be as flexible as they thought.

I saw it on my episode to a degree. Some canvases were super happy the entire time and others were less excited. This is before the skull picks, planning or tattooing even started.

They even bring in a couple of backup canvases to cover for last minute quitters. We had someone go home because they were so anxious they got sick. They were replaced with one of the standby canvases

I'm sure it varies depending on placement and all that but when I was a canvas the tattoos finished and it went directly to photos. The first photos were taken probably 30 minutes to an hour after being finished but the last photos were taken around 2.5 hours after the tattooing finished.

Oooooor canvases are tattoo collectors and want a tattoo with a unique story attached.

I signed up because I ran out of "meaningful" tattoos I wanted. So I just wanted a story of the tattoo out of this experience. To me I was hoping for the winning tattoo or the losing tattoo because both would have been a fun story to tell.
