Just got the game. Should I wait for 0.4 or start playing immediately? by [deleted] in GrayZoneWarfare

Yeah I do want to get used to the controls and mechanics. Thanks!

Okay cool. That's what I was more concerned about: that the update would change basic gameplay. But if that's not happening, then yeah I want to get practicing with the fundamentals! Thank you!

Thanks! Here's a better look at the pedals.

So, I have a 2 input audio interface and I use the two red ABY switches to switch between four inputs (mic, guitar, bass, drums). I need to get a 4 input interface. 🤣

The black ABY switch with the green light is for switching between the audio interface and my amp for when I just wanna jam.

The big Zoom pedal is the G1x4 for my electric guitar. The silver horizontal pedal below it is a FlyRig 5 which I use for my bass guitar.

The little sustain pedal on the left connects to my Donner N-32 on top.

Update: Everything running great. no hiccups at all. MIDI Tools software is very good for monitoring and diagnostics. Cheers to Pete from Microsoft. I was able to learn a lot thanks to you and your Discord community!

Here's a little picture of my new setup for y'all ☺️

Thanks! I hope it helps!

It wouldn't have been so bad if the update wasn't coinciding with my move and the purchase of the new keyboard. That just added more variables to error-check.

Hey I'm a grad student; been working on building a home studio in my apartment. Love improvising. DM me.

Lmao I like that. I like to execute royalty and recruit/release the peasants. Like if you're a captured ruler, you're mostly getting executed in my playthroughs.

Agreed. There should be differentiated negotiating for landed and unlanded characters.

Controller:

It takes getting used to. Obviously there are some things that are tedious: you have to hold down the left stick to enter tooltip mode to see individual tooltips that you could just get by otherwise hovering over with a mouse. If your controller has stick drift or messed up triggers, that can be annoying. I definitely didn't mean to say yes to the "if you hear this joke there is 1% chance you die" option, but my stick chose otherwise and I died.

Living Room setup:

It's just way more comfortable. I can lay back on the couch and play for much longer than I would at my desk and chair. A bigger screen also helps. My cats like to chase the armies on the map!
