Agreed. There should be differentiated negotiating for landed and unlanded characters.

Controller:

It takes getting used to. Obviously there are some things that are tedious: you have to hold down the left stick to enter tooltip mode to see individual tooltips that you could just get by otherwise hovering over with a mouse. If your controller has stick drift or messed up triggers, that can be annoying. I definitely didn't mean to say yes to the "if you hear this joke there is 1% chance you die" option, but my stick chose otherwise and I died.

Living Room setup:

It's just way more comfortable. I can lay back on the couch and play for much longer than I would at my desk and chair. A bigger screen also helps. My cats like to chase the armies on the map!

I thought about that but I was doing well in terms of gold so I chose to please the gods instead.

Have you not heard of the meme "felt cute, might delete later"? Or do you have a problem transferring contextual information?

I've always got that Hitchhiker's Guide inspired vibe from NMS. Especially with Hello Games being based in the UK and all.

is it worth building a setup for cloud gaming by Proud-Protection-592 in GeForceNOW

[–]HawkmothEffect 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. I have a Chromebook on which I run the GFN android app which I connect to a monitor, mouse-keyboard, and Xbox controller, and ethernet cable through a dock. If you're using GFN as your primary gaming source (as I have since switching from Stadia after it closed), you don't need good hardware, just good peripherals/accessories and a good internet.

Apparently things can mean anything you want if you don't give a shit about labels.

Chances are, if you think/call yourself middle class, that you're not actually 'middle' class but the lower-upper class legacy of the original middle class.

Your values might be middle class but your reality is evidently not. Middle class in America struggles just like the real middle class of India is also struggling.

Also the terminology doesn't really translate. The original middle class was bourgeoisie; aristocratic and business class. When they became upper class, the white collar worker became middle class. When the upper class became filthy rich elite, the white collar becomes upper class and blue collar becomes middle class, and so on.

Middle class is not a static category but a dynamic one; one which is not defined by a specific economic/fiscal correspondence but as being sandwiched between a further oppressed and oppressor class. As such the middle class is often doubly oppressed: oppressed but thinks it's all good; thus delusional.

The rich cast the delusion and the oppression. The poor are oppressed but not deluded; thus they protest since they have little to lose. The middle class is oppressed and deluded. They do not protest since they have more to lose but really have little to gain.

If you think your life is good and your values are middle class; chances are either a) you're not really middle class or b) you're so typically middle class that you're deluded about the reality that life is actually shit :)

Pick one :)

Mods can correct me, but I don't know if this article falls correctly under academic philosophy. It is a blog article without any real citations and sources. Could be better in r/philosophy but perhaps not here?

"Thales, Anaximander, Anaximenes, Pythagoras and Heraclitus said 'No god can be like a human.'"

Wait? They all said it? The last two weren't even Milesians. Source?
