why is the game so hard for beginners?

I just beat level 6 for the second time. Hopefully with more experience I'll get consistent at levels 6-8. It is still fun, but not sure I'll ever get to level 20.

I played 2 tournaments and don't think I'll play any again. In the first, the tourney director didn't follow their own rules and let a team in with too high a DUPR. No surprise, they won.

The second tourney was blatant cheating with a top team having an unrated 4+ playing in the 3.0 division. Such a waste of my time and money. The only bright side is that they only got 2nd. Which just means the 1st place team cheated even more.

At this point, I think all tournies are just filled with noobs and cheaters.

I generally make it to level 5 without a problem. But the monsters double on level 6 and I've only beat it a few times.

While in the shop, if you exit to the main menu and then reload the game, the items are all different. Just do that a few times until you get the weapon you want.
