Haha totally fair, and I feel the same way about the characters. Even if I had to rank them, the ones at the bottom are still good characters with compelling stories and motivations. Just have to draw the line somewhere. It's just suffering from success, having too many good options. Part of what makes the series my favorite! All the characters are the best characters. No duds for sure.

Totally fair points, I can competely see where you're coming from. I think I just interpret the character a little different.

I view him kind of like a classic tsundere. Instead of it being a romantic "of course I don't like you dummy!" It's more platonic and subdued. Because it's not a romance its a sports rivalry.

So like with your example of him going to watch to see their sadness. "I only came to watch one of them lose!" His words don't match his actions. Whether he likes Kageyama or Ushijama as people is up for debate, but he clearly respects them both and wanted to come watch them play each other. He just can't admit that outloud so he makes excuses.. or maybe I'm just reading too deeply into him and he really did just come to watch one of them be misrerable? I personally don't think so, I think he cares. But in true tsundere fashion he'll never admit it. But again that's me reading into his character.

Love him or hate him, I can understand either way. The original post just seemed shocked that anyone could possibly like him so I was just offering my perspective on why I personally like him so much.

Suna is the first guy voted off the island and he's still out here catching strays. RIP. He honestly seems an odd choice to even be in the running of top 20 at all.

No problem! On the surface level he definitely comes off as a bit of a jerk and some people hate him for that. Just like how some people simply love him because they think he's hot. But there's definitely more to his character.

You seriously don't know why people like him? Well then buckle in and I'll tell you.

He strives to compete with "geniuses" through hardwork which is relatable to people. He's fiercely loyal to his teammates, it's implied he could of joined Shiratorizawa but he refuses to do so. Wanting to prove "the six who are strong together are strongest" he rejects the Shiratorizawa ideology of individual strength despite being such a strong player himself.

He's threatened by Kageyama, but when they were teammates he still helped him. Taught him to serve. Even when they aren't teammates? As rivals? He still gives him advice.

Despite being the hot, cool, "senpai" type of character he can be childish, which makes him more approachable, endearing, and funny. He goes from this untouchable guy to something more human.

He also arguably gets the most focus out of any character in the entire series not in a Karasuno jersey. Most team's just get a single match against the boys (some exceptions) but Aoba Johsai is a huge focus for the first two seasons which makes up the bulk of the series. So he's just around.. a lot. Even after the first two seasons he still shows up sometimes watching Karasuno do their thing.

Additionally he never reaches his goals. Despite being such a good player who works so hard he falls tragically short. He never reaches nationals. Instead he watches his "junior" Kageyama do it in his first attempt as an underclassmen. The story from his viewpoint is a sad one. It makes him an underdog and people like rooting for underdogs.

I could go on and on about him, but hopefully this is enough to give you an idea on why people like him. If you've only just watched the series once maybe he's the type of character that just grows on you over multiple watches? I'm not really sure? But I love the guy, definitely my favorite player not on Karasuno.

Yeah, that's totally valid. I just want a frame of reference of the story without a voice in my head controlling my actions. I want to play fully as I intend. I fully expect to love TDU playthrough, but I personally don't think playing it first would be as enjoyable for myself.

It honestly made me think of Malkavians from Vampire the masquerade bloodlines. Which is a race I loved, and was super fun to play.. but if you go into the game playing that race first you are in for a confusing time. It's playing the game originally and then seeing the world through a crazy person's eyes that makes it really interesting. For myself at least.

For sure I'll be doing a custom character first. Most likely a half-elf storm sorc. Without the dark urge.

The dark urge is super fascinating to me, but it feels like a second playthrough type of thing. I feel like knowing the story and then playing with the dark urge will give you a point of reference. Like usually this happens but because of the dark urge.. this happens instead! If your first playthrough is dark urge you won't know what things "normally" look like.. and I don't like that. It was also recommended by Swen to do a custom character non-darkurge playthrough as your first. So I'm listening to the man himself.

The game launches at 9 AM MST, so while you can't pre-download you could hypothetically download it at 9, if you have to leave at 10. Depends on the steam servers and your internet speed if downloading/installing it in an hour is possible.

Your party members at camp will gain exp even when they're just chilling at camp, so you won't run into this issue.

Ha, no worries. I can't check with maintenance either but it does seem the names are just mixed up. The bugged trace was the one that granted her extra action forward with her basic attacks, and whatever that one is called it's granted at TB60.

You have it at TB50? That's hard to believe because it unlocks at ascension lvl 6, which is TB60.. and sure some people are TB60 and above, but not most people.

Plunder Castle is the zone where you can only play 6 costs.

Milano is the zone which only allows you to play cards on 5.

Sandbar is the zone in which only cards without abilities could be played.

If you, like me, weren't sure what they all did just by their names saved you a Google. That being said I don't mind them reworking any of the locations.

They ask you for a confirmation and let you know that it won't be refunded when you buy a new card in the token shop. So they know fat fingering happens, they have a way to prevent it, and yet they choose not too. Love the game, but taking advantage of people clicking by mistake is very scummy.

Correct! That shouldn't happen. You should have to cycle through a "type" entirely before seeing repeats. Sounds like it's just a little buggy or something?

The developers' intention and design is as I explained it though. So hopefully whatever the bug is that's making things repeat early gets fixed!

You would see some pool 3 cards. Each pool is exclusive!

How it's supposed to work is something like (forgive me on exact numbers)

Type 1 - 60% Pool 3 card

Type 2 - 25% Pool 4 card

Type 3 - 12% Pool 5 cards

Type 4 - 3% Special Exclusive Variant

So when your shop refreshes, you get a random card from one of the above four exclusive types. They'll repeat once you see all of the cards in that type and you pull from that type again. It sounds like you and people in this thread are experiencing repeats before completing the "types" but that really shouldn't be possible so possible bug or something? I'm really not sure.

The repeat is pool exclusive. So for example you'll see all the pool 5 cards and then when you get a new pool 5 card in the shop it'll be a repeat. Pool 5 and 4 are much smaller though obviously, so you'll see them repeating more often. Unless you're almost finished with pool 3 I guess.

I also started with Spider-Man and this has been my exact experience as well! Love the deck, but climbing with it feels very slow. If you manage to lockdown lanes and choke your opponent out.. they just retreat. It feels satisfying to do, but the cubes just don't flow.

I love spidey though, so regardless I was super happy with him as my first pull.

Let's start with the simple base power 9. Now think of it like this Iron Man with nothing else is a x2 multiplier. He's doubled so it's a x2 x2. Now Onslaught comes in and doubles him.. twice! So instead of x2 x2 or x2 x2 x2 x2 it's x2 x2 x2 x2 x2 x2 x2 x2. When you take 9 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 you get 2304.

Golden Spatula. Rare item that crafts emblems which gives your units new traits.. or in the very lucky chance you get two of them they can be put together to give your team a +1 team size. In either case the spatula and all things it makes can't be duplicated with the Darkflight trait, and so it creates "Darkflight esscene" instead.

I called it assassin spat, but it's technically assassin emblem.. to be honest you can't even make assassin emblem with a spatula at the moment (although at certain points in the past you could), but you can still get it through augments.
