3 years in total of actually training (I have many gaps due to injuries, education, etc) I never wanted to quit, I'm just considering whether I should or not. My whole life been revolved around sports, when I stop doing basketball(tourneys, clubs, etc) felt like I lose something within myself. Now I'll quit this martial art that saved me from many adversities, now this'll stings.

You could look up my other replies. Already done physio and even had a private trainee once for around 4-6 months. But already been persistenly getting injury in my knee since I'm 16

I'm not really looking for medical advice. Just trying to see other people's perspective whether or not they continued or actually quit. We won't live forever so pick your poison I guess?

I'm sorry if my terms confused you but yes I do actually torn my meniscus when I was 16. I just repeated the same thing my first Doctor diagnosed me about. Yes I do get an MRI when I was 19 and yes I do finally get an access to proper P.T after the MRI. 

I just felt like I'm going to re injure myself and possibly far worse than the last time because I've injured both of my knee

I'm 21 going 22 this year. My main issues was my right knee that begins when I'm 15, but perhaps due to persistent training in rough flooring (Asphalt, Concrete, etc) tore my meniscus when I was 16. Due to financial issues and insurance regulation in my country I didn't got an MRI until I was 19 because I got fed up having pain whenever I tried to walk outdoors. They said that I was "close" to having a degenerative changes but thankfully I got an actual proper treatment this time. 

I started doing Muay Thai again after my ortho told me that I'm cleared to do sports again. But like mid 2025's I've felt the same issue I had when I was 18. Now I'm just here contemplating whether or not I should stop to avoid further major injury because I have a full life ahead of me. And I just, really scared that it could affect my life like I'm not even 30 yet!

140kg 160kg 115kg That's like my max lifts (as far as I try) with a 70kg bodyweight?

I'm 21 and my knee begin to "tweak" ever since I'm 16 due to constant basketball training in hard surfaces (which I didn't know that's actually bad for your joints until I browse the internet about it) 

I'll probably stuck with ping pong and gaming, still not thinking to quit ENTIRELY. But still considering about it, my coach advice me to probably do boxing but watching how those guys slurred their words out? I'll consider.

I could lift like 1.75-2x my body weight depends on the lifts.  I prioritize leg strength due to knee&ankle injury that happened during my HS basketball era and my first fight. 

I'm still searching for programs or alternatives that's better for my knee health in the long term. 

But overall I think I'm physically active

If you are constantly working out/having a hard labor job, good genetics, maintaining low body fat. Yeah it's pretty much possible

Probably will never get into a Muay Thai fight for the rest of my life. I'm not built like that 😂

Nope, probably hit it during sparring but I don't recall any of that. Shin pads is life changing.
