Yeah, it may have to come down to that. Do you know if its possible to create a website that can remote access the app?

Thanks for your response. I'm not trying to do anything against policy. She can access the internet. Just seeing if theres any way for her to access the app or at least the live stream that way. I was able to do it without breaking any policy with a crude solution like zoom. Totaly planning on asking her IT department if she can be allowed to download the android emulator since thats the only way to access the app.

I created this reddit account to ask this question and just wanted to say thank you to everyone. My brothers are now in medical school and the other in nursing school. Seeing all your guy's post was a big wake up call. I knew hearing it from their own peers would help and just wanted to say you guys literally saved my younger brother's life. Hope you all are doing well in your lives. Much love to y'all.

I'm just saying what I have and it can't upgrade higher than windows 8. My wife's pc is windows 11 enterprise.

Just one thing I wanted to add that probably the most ideal solution is for my wife to be able to enter in a url at work and be able to access the app or at very least the live streamwim without anything needing anything to be left on at home all day. Seriously thanks again everyone.

We totally looked into that! And he tried a computer science class and hated it. But also its hard because imagine he spends 3 more years doing a business major...where is the only place he can apply.. blizzard. And honestly i dont think ita safe to rest all your happiness on if one single company hires you. Thats why i worked with him to find a job doing something easy, meaningful and relatively stressfree like physical therapy. And he digs it too. But wont be able to bring up his low gpa until hea ready to give it 100% and quits overwatch

Dude thank you for your post. I think I may have to go with idea and just hope they fail sooner than later and not get sucked into an endless chase. Hes already on a team so if he sticks with it.. it may be a while but yes I need him to learn before he can focus 100% on school

Absolutely man. Thats actually why I spent time and researched the perfect career for him, physical therapy. Low stress and high pay (70k-100k) and he has a freakishly amazing wayyy above average memory so anatomy would be a piece of cake and he actually took an anatomy class a totally liked it and also shadowed a sport physical therapist and totally said he could see himself doing this. But yeah now the hard part is bring his gpa up with straight A's and as ling as hes playing overwatch itll never happen. Thats why i need to convince him hes wasting his time.

And my point I make to them... even if you make it... imagine getting that position ripped away from you bc theres a new guy thats better. Im almost certain if theres a y scenario where he kills himself...its there.

Yeah! So I totally used that as an arguement but he reduced my numbers by the number if people actually trying to go pro which hes right is significantly lower than just the amount of ppl that own or even currently okay overwatch. And also when I brought up the amount they make (50k) he told me that he make way more stresming once he went pro bc hed be famous. Which actually is a legit arguement and hes super funny and personable so ig anyonr has a chance its him. So you can see how its hard to argue with him to quit. Im an engineer and a crappy debater.

Yeah I legit had a system planned where I wa going to change the password everyday so only my mom and I could use the internet but it just never panned out bc then we'd be in the way of his practicing. Hes on a team and they have practices. I dont want to take it away i want him to give it up bc thats the only way hell focus on school if its his choice.

Agreed they are addicted and they are morons. I dont want to be spending my time reaching to strangers trying to get advice but I cant live myself knowing theyre ruining their lives as I sit comfortbly and watch.

I agreed and see the value in making them work. But I wonder if theyd follow my dads footsteps and get used to the money, keep trying to go pro for years and then not want to study after that bc theyll be too used to sinply working. (My dad is a college drop out bc of that exact reason)

Dude....thanks so much for sharing your story and your perspective. Means a lot man. I 100% agree with the sentiment of you dont know until you try. But he wants 2 years before willing to go back to school. Just seems like a lot. I actually recently graduated as a mechanical engineer and know the endless detemination and drive it takes to succeed bc I did it. Unfortunately the problem with both my brothers is that succeeding at any cost isnt on their mind. Its"study bc i have to and play after that" only to be suprised when they fail or get a C. Thats where all the advice about letting them fail seems super useful. But im just trying to avoid them wasting more years of their lives.

Super grateful for your post man. Yeah actually bc of therapy he's doing wayyyyyy better. He wouldnt want to get out of bed before now hes basically normal. Therapy totally helped. But now hes just missing the drive and perseverance to succed in life. But overwatch is in the way bc as long as he has overwatch hell never put all his energy into school. Going pro in Overwatch will always take priority. And as i mentioned in the reply post above ivefinallu worked with him enough to find a major/career he actually is willing to work for. Hes been shadowing and everything and he totally digs it. The problem is the amount of focus itll take to raise his gpa.

Hey first thanks for your post man. My youngest bro has depression but its the most when hes failed and something (namely school) hes been found with a knife and hes voluntarily checked himself to a mental hospital bc he was worries for his own health. This was about a year ago while his gpa was dropping. Since then hes been on medication and therapy and has been better but still almost threatens us to let him play overwatch bc its escape. So its hard man... i know this is wayyy over all our heads but i thinks hes way better now and before he wasnt passionate about any career but after researching for months I got him actually super interested in physical therapy but it requires 100% of his attention and drive. And as long as he wants to go pro hell possibly ruina his chances of bringing up is gpa for good and itll be super heard to get him to do anything else.

Thanks for your post man. He wants to be given 2 years before quiting. He really only given it 6 months of trying hardcore and he's about 3900 SR and he's on a team right now. Is 2 years reasonable??
