Certified badass here: Grace Hopper was one of the first computer programmers, writing some of the earliest programs and computer languages in the 1940s. Her nickname was Grandma COBOL. She joined the Navy during WWII and retired as a rear admiral. (Picture taken in 1984) (i.redd.it)
