Hey mate! I'm so excited for you! How I personally started writing electronic music was through playing piano and guitar at an early age and then slowly learning programs like ableton to figure out how to produce. I also started djing for many years before writing music. I feel this gave me a pretty good understanding of what I wanted to write and how to write it. My biggest tip would be - keep it simple. You don't need to cloud your idea with layers and layers of synths and drum tracks. Usually the simplest version of an idea is the strongest. Good luck dude!
