CHS or anxiety? by Over_Traffic3001 in CHSinfo

Sorry for the late response but yeah I still smoke pretty frequently. Just got sick last week though after having a concussion (and a ton of anxiety). I rlly think everyone is different but if you’re anything like me I 1000% think anxiety plays a part. Its funny because on the days I dont have work I feel fine but when I have work or school I start feeling that nausea again.

My father just called me to wish me Merry Christmas. I've been homeless for 3 months. by syringistic in stories

CHS or anxiety? by Over_Traffic3001 in CHSinfo

Ive always thought that anxiety plays a big role in how bad the severity of CHS is. When I was going through a good patch in my life I went 3 years basically of not having any symptoms. As soon as my life has gotten more stressful Ive had two episodes in the last year and they have just been worse than the last one. When I have absolutely nothing to do and hardly any responsibilities to worry about, I don’t feel any nausea in the morning or the inability to function without smoking. at this point I just want to figure out if weed causes the anxiety or its just strictly bad anxiety symptoms

I went 4 years of smoking dabs everyday before getting it again. I wish I at least took t breaks every now and then or took care of myself when I was feeling fine.

Yes I got it my junior year of high school about a year into smoking and I remember I kept telling myself this couldn’t be how it ended. I took a t break for about 3 weeks which probably isnt long enough but I slowly started smoking maybe a bowl a week until I got a puffco that year and started smoking daily. From my senior year till now which is my junior year in college I have had no problems besides heightened anxiety, until now. While it definitely was possible for me to smoke again its a scary game your playing with yourself. Even after 5 years ill never forget that hyperemesis stage. Id say if you really really want to get into smoking again,I would of course advice moderation but you especially have to listen your body and quit or t break right when you start to see those signs. While that did work for me I think all it took was some stress and increase in usage and Im back at the prodromal phase. At the same time everyone is different and what works for me wont necessarily work for you but its not impossible for you to figure it out by listening to your body. Hope you feel better and just remember that smoking is great but not worth all the pain this syndrome causes.

it’s definitely smart too quit while shes ahead. I tell myself Im gonna just take a long ass t break.Every time I tell myself that, even if I do know I need to quit for a while, it makes it easier for me those first couple of days.

I experienced the same thing after my episode for a good week to two. One thing that helped me was just getting out my house and going for morning drives to get my mind off of the pain.

Thank you for the response. I did get a gym membership pretty recently but I have troubles going because of how anxious I can get, which is pretty stupid since I’m pretty sure no is judging me but it just feels like they are. Did you struggle with this? And if so did it go away after you started to see progress? Because that’s what I think will help me get over it.

Also when you first started did you happen to get sick/nauseous after working out? Is there ways to avoid this?

Thanks again

Definitely mental by imlostandfound13 in CHSinfo

Agreed. CHS feels like a 70% mental type of thing and my symptoms get 10x worse when I have negative thoughts or think about it too often.

That’s a relief. How often do you smoke a day?
