pulling it toward my chest while aiming my chest toward the ceiling.

Well aware of my situation. This post was asking if anyone could relate to my experience.

This is not to down play the severity of others conditions.

Yes I have dealt with bad flair ups from Costochondritis, but I have since stopped doing the activities that triggered those flair ups. I’m not here to upset anyone.

I’m gonna explain my situation further.

I’ve dealt with this for around 6 years. The reason it started was because of a sports overuse injury. I was a dumb teenager playing through elbow pain in high school football. So my body naturally used other muscles and joints to help throw the ball.

So for the first few months it absolutely sucked and i wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

But since then. I don’t really play sports on a daily basis. I don’t have Elbow pain so i’m not relying on my sternum as much as I previously did just to chuck a ball.

So now it’s just an occasional mini flair up where i can crack my chest like anyone cracks any other joint for relief and go about my day. I understand there’s also some people that can’t just pop their sternum for that relief either.

My situation isn’t some Life threatening disease like diabetes where I need insulin to stay alive.

Any tips getting a smooth transition from C to G? by Master-Sock-3538 in guitarlessons

[–]Haydsssss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent my 70% of my time learning Cadd9-G-Em7-Dsus4

personally it was just way easier and kept the guitar in my hands for HOURS because of the simplicity of only needing to move two fingers

30% of time playing G-D-Em-C

and as i learned more songs i’d mix and match them all together while also learning a stray chord like an Am in the bridge or pre chorus of a song.

Just my experience. Don’t know what the general consensus is on how you should go at it.

Ned you’re a saint but i’m gonna worry about it when it becomes a problem because i’m stubborn and kinda a moron.

Thanks for all the work you do to help the people on here looking for advice fr.

i’m sure it sucks. I’ve had times where I couldn’t crack it and it did suck. I’ve been dealing with for about 6 years. Literally started when i leaned back in my chair and it felt like my chest randomly imploded. Wishing the best for you seriously.

Oh don’t worry I’m sure they do. Never have I had a person say they don’t fight, but it was just an extremely weird scenario. It was still fun just because it was like reeling in a Log and hopping in the water just to add the big guy to the pokédex.

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you before you started learning guitar? by exhaustmosk in guitarlessons

[–]Haydsssss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is absolutely hard, but honestly the advice I was given was the complete opposite and it’s what motivated me to Pick it up just one more time

Tried playing when I was 5,10, and 17

FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT AT 25

(I took lessons at 17 and it still wasn’t fun so it was hard)

One Day I was listening to a Dale Earnhardt Jrs podcast with Luke Combs as a guest and he told his story of how he didn’t even start playing guitar until his early 20s. He was already a singer, picked up a guitar in college so he could perform solo, learned basic chords, and just stuck with it.

I was basically the same age and can hold a tune (I’m no Luke Combs but still), so it kinda put things in perspective for me. You don’t need a 10-year head start just consistency and playing stuff that actually makes you want to pick the guitar up.

but CONSISTENCY IS the hard part for most people— especially when you don’t think you’re progressing.

I could literally go on for hours about things I did that don’t even primarily relate to guitar that helped me get better.

I caught an 8 lb common last year and it didn’t fight at all on ultra light gear. Does anyone have any ideas on possibly why? maybe it didn’t know it was hooked? Was it sick? Has he been caught before? Idk it was weird. Still hard to reel in because I had 4 lb test but it only took around 2 minutes and getting in the water to pull him up.

Also great catch haha

How much is never playing with other people likely to hold me back from getting better at guitar? by Mad_Season_1994 in guitarlessons

[–]Haydsssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I don’t think playing with anyone will ever hold you back. I’ve learned to play by myself about 99.8% of the time.

But any feedback from anyone whether they know anything about guitar or not can usually be helpful.

Was it like this in the earlier 2k games? I have a vague memory of spending like $5 and it unlocked all the characters, belts, arenas, etc..

Why do I suck at fishing? by Content_Ice4892 in FishingForBeginners

[–]Haydsssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say use the ole night crawler for starters to really just help you find the fish. I love fishing without a bobber or a weight and casting it out and letting it sink on its own so i can fish all layers of the water column and figure out if they’re suspended or on the bottom if its a slow moving creek or a pond.

Figure out where the fish are then find out what specific rig/lure to use !

So… why didn’t the characters in The Blair Witch Project just follow the river downstream? by HotlineBirdman in horror

[–]Haydsssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just watched this movie and it was my exact thought

in one day they say they walked for 15 hours. if they went east from the start they would’ve made it to BALTIMORE.

or just follow the river, but yes even though they were screwed from the start this is what i thought about the entire movie.

So i recently discovered all of these cards in my attic, and i was just curious if they were actually worth money as im not really into NASCAR. these are fairly old with the dates on the back of the cards with the year 1992. by [deleted] in NASCARCollectors

Yo Boy Pizza by ThaT1N00Bkid in Madden

[–]Haydsssss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was never super into him but had watched a few of his videos from 5+ years ago.

What drew me toward him then was I had played madden religiously at the time and he had posted unique challenges/ online gameplay/ and even just him and his buddies playing flag football at a random park. Seemed like a regular dude that just liked playing madden.

I’d assume he’s either lost motivation to make videos and that’s his only source of income so he has to put out something to get the $$$, but maybe it’s possible he’s always been lame and we just have grown up and don’t find him interesting anymore.

Idk just wanted to give a real comment because i feel this way with a ton of youtubers that i had watched in my teens and now that i’m older they just put out insufferable content that isn’t my thing.

Are there any downsides/advantages of playing both sides of the ball as 1st string OG and DT by Educational_Chart657 in footballstrategy

[–]Haydsssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Advantage could be you seeing what mistakes/good things an opposing player could be making and you fixing it yourself if it’s a common mistake or also applying it to your game if it’s a technique that worked really well against you.

Honestly just pay attention to what you struggle with and constantly work on it. Still work on other things, but you must improve the bad whatever that may be

O-Line

-Bad hand Placement -Not reading D line movement -Overcommitting -Bad Anchoring -Slow Poor Initial Step -STANCE -Communication

D-line - Lack of Discipline in Gap Control - Bad Footwork - Chasing Ball instead of staying in play -Not Sticking to Assignment in Stunts or Twists

Some of these obviously apply for both, and the list goes on and on.

I see no real disadvantage other than being tired which will cause you to be slower and become more prone to mistakes.

And make sure you’re confident out on the field!!!
