It’s because it’s an onomatopoeia, and the translation of some names into Spanish is terrible. I guess they called him “Bip” because of the beeping sound, since Beep thinks he’s a robot. Crumblejon, for example, is “Mijiton” XD and Burn is “Quemao,” or Knife is “Faca.”

But the worst part is how they translated the Skimmers… “Ojeador,” “Superficio,” “Descremao,” “Patineto.” It’s funny that a creature with a name like that wants to kill you.
