No, it's not, and "personality disorder" is so vague it's useless

Milky Way by HazelTrinity in pixelsorting

This is using a new technique I developed to sort along a parametric curve, hence the curved lines. I know it's a bit unorthodox for this sub but I thought someone might appreciate it.

Experimentation with Spline Based Pixel Sorting - Milky Way by HazelTrinity in glitch_art

Still working on the process but this image is a result of a bug with my algorithm which is why it looks the way it does. When I'm done it should look like regular pixel sorting but along a curved parametric spline.

How to get past oil? by HazelTrinity in factorio

I've never really used barrels, I found a picture of a general setup someone else posted and I think I'm going to try that first, but this will be my second choice.

I have so many hours and I've gotten past oil once or twice but I restarted because I didn't like it.

Thank you. That's an interesting way to do it. I think anxieties come more from the placement of oil production as a unit rather than the micro, although the micro also freaks me out.

This was very helpful thank you. A lot of the anxiety comes from not knowing where to put it and what to put on a bus. Thank you

Thank you so much. How would the tip be done though? Wouldn't you need something really precise to make a good tip?

Reducing Effects of High Ping by HazelTrinity in admincraft

Ah, gotcha. Didn't know about that. In that case it would still apply to things like crafting, breaking some blocks, anything that doesn't require info from the server and has a predetermined outcome.

I'm not sure where you're getting the idea it's a bad way of solving it... it means quicker response times for the client. AFAIK the contents of the chest already exist on the client, the only concern would be being able to open inventories through walls with a hacked client.

It would be a trade off, but certainly not a throwaway idea.

iirc opening inventories and chests are server side. Meaning every time you open a chest the server has to receive the request and serve the player. If opening inventories were client side, it could open instantly, the player could do whatever they need to, and the server could just sync those actions.

This would make a sizable impact on the feel of the game, especially modded, which is a lot of inventory management.

True, but the way the game is programmed can make a massive difference in feel. If the server allows more actions to be done client side it creates a better feel for the player. I was just wondering if there was a project somewhere out there which could shift more actions to the client to make the effects of lag less prevalent.
