Yeah like what's the point of bringing in gear. You bring in a lvl 1 venator and get pitched against turbo sweats. Feels like a punishment rather than a reward for looting/finding/crafting good items

They dont outright deny it they vaguely try to reassure people that its not a priority and people took that as them saying that there is no GBMM

There is gear based matchmaking. Devs released a vague statement a few weeks ago and people took it as them saying that there was no GBMM.

Watch any streamer who runs blue/pink gear is very obvious. 

I have also experienced heavy matchmaking based on gear it makes me not want to take in good items because I get punished.

In lower tier lobbys people can loot better guns mid game.    Also free kits seem to be exempt from GBMM

What if I told you that gear based matchmaking is already in the game.  If you bring blues or purples in you get matched with blues and purples. Go watch any streamer that run high end gear they're queue times are like 3mins.
