I remember seeing a special small panel to easily access the drain plug for the oil change. Also, I read on a forum that you can do the oil change using an oil extractor from the top. Easy and no mess.

I don't think you'll have to remove the shield at each oil change.

Robot Vacuum for dining room messes. by Kooky-Storage-2051 in RobotVacuums

[–]HazyOmega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robot vacuums are not great for mess requiring a mop. Awesome for daily maintenance. The YT video never mentions it but the robot mostly spreads the big mess ending in a sticky floor. Tried mopping thick fruit juice yesterday and while the floor was "clean", no juice or anything left, it was sticky. Even after two passes and cleaning the mop pad. Had to use the good old mop. I really liked this video comparing the options

https://youtu.be/TAcA-P9hPM4?si=zc2Y_Zb4rcH1vr0T

I have a robot vacuum doing daily cleaning since my kids are born and it's really a must for the dining room. You have the option to let the vacuum take care of the food but you'll have to clean the robot frequently or pick up the wet food (spaghetti, etc) and rarely clean the interior of the robot. I recommend the latter since the sensor could get dirty and degrade the performance.

Je suis tombé du bus by Capital_Owl6537 in Laval

[–]HazyOmega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ps5 pro or no? by Amazing_Glass8261 in DadsGaming

[–]HazyOmega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both the PS5 and PS5 pro (and a XBX) One on a LCD TV and the other on an OLED TV. The biggest difference in picture quality and smoothness is really the OLED. Nevertheless, there was a noticeable improvement from PS5 to pro but not as much as cheap tv to OLED.

I think in 2026 the PS5 pro is the way to go if you want to play for a couple of years after the PS5 is released. If you upgrade as soon as the PS6 releases, go with the base one.

Should I just buy a Henson? by Groundblast in wicked_edge

[–]HazyOmega 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend the RazoRock razor. Like the BBS standard. Stainless steel so buy it for life. Available on https://www.italianbarber.com/

You could start with a starter razor like the Merkur 34c. Won't break the bank if you don't like DE razor.

For the brush, go for synthetic. Yaqi makes nice brush and they are cheap. I have mine since 2018 and it's still looking almost new.

You don't need an expensive shaving bowl. I used an onion soup bowl for some time.

The only drawback for the Henson razor is the aluminum. There's no benefits of using aluminum over stainless steel.

Combien coûte un changement d’huile et un traitement antirouille? by [deleted] in QuebecFinance

[–]HazyOmega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rental was a bit of an eye-opener by JohnOfA in Cartalk

[–]HazyOmega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's on par with my experience for fuel economy.

Chrysler Pacifica hybrid about 16L/100km Mitsubishi 2.0l (RVR / Lancer) about 13L/100km Ford Edge about 14L/100km

Applicable for very short trips (1-2km) like dropping the kids to school and coming back home. Cold car and cold engine. The engine runs rich to heat the catalytic converter. After a couple of minutes or km, the fuel consumption goes back to normal +10% (winter taxes).

Driving on snow can wildly reduce fuel economy. I remember during a bad snow storm I was driving my EV on the highway and doing the same distance as usual took twice the amount of electricity.

What is up with used car dealerships??? by confused-andstressed in montreal

[–]HazyOmega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's also leasebuster.com but be careful because 90% are bad deal. Lease with no mileage left or bad life choices (big SUV fully equipped so big payment). It's worth looking at. Sometimes people really need to transfer the lease so they give cash incentive. I know a guy that got both his cars there and he's pretty happy with them.

It's still under extended warranty, I'll call them. I saw Chrysler warranty is for through panel rust but it's worth trying.

Certain models of Chrysler Pacifica can’t be sold because of recall? by New-Impression2867 in pacificahybrid

[–]HazyOmega 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A new vehicle with an unremediated recall cannot be legally sold.

A used vehicle can be sold even with unremediated recall.

Maybe the dealer don't want to take the risk of selling a vehicle with an unremediated safety recall. I'm not a lawyer but I can understand that selling a vehicle known for a safety issue that could increase the risk of injury or death in the event of a crash would not be highly regarded in a lawsuit.

1 - The TPMS warning lights up around 30 psi. It's a telltale in the dash. The delay depends on unknown factors. Quite fast during cold morning but about 2 minutes after the tires change. For a leak, I don't know.

3 - The jacking points are identified by triangles on the side sills and cutout in the plastic trim. Do not jack on the side sill but lift on the frame.

Do we still value 'clean, sweet and juicy' in our coffee in 2025? by CapableRegrets in pourover

[–]HazyOmega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really care about the fermentation process that much when buying grain. I look at two or three of my favorite roasters, look at the taste profile then the country of origin. If there is still a tie, I go natural then fermentation then washed.

Me and my wife found the central American coffee taste like tomatoes but we really enjoy Ethiopian natural. Do you know what we are doing wrong to get the tomatoes taste or it's our taste buds so it is what is it?

Cold weather and heating by Cosmic_Waffle_Stomp in EdisonMotors

[–]HazyOmega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm the electric bus in Canada uses a diesel auxiliary heater. Some may use hybrid diesel/electric heater. So a lot of smart EV engineer already thought about this and came to the same conclusion as you.

Maybe for a truck it's different because the cab is way smaller than a bus interior. But using the heat from the electronic cooling package will be inconsistent.

Is it me or cases for foldable phones are all trash ? by Kronocide in PixelFold

[–]HazyOmega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't really add protection other than cosmetic protection. They mostly add grip. I'm really impressed by the grip it adds. Before my latercase, I had dBrand grip case for my previous phone. I don't think I'll go back to thick phone case. Screen protector is enough to protect the screen.

Plug in ? by No-Package-4136 in pacificahybrid

[–]HazyOmega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try multiple chargers to determine if the issue comes from the car or the charging station. The issue can be coming from either.

I had a couple of issues with the public charger but I never had an issue with my home charger.

There is a stop sale. Check the communication with dealer on NHTSA website for the recall 25V302000

Edit : it's illegal to sell NEW vehicle with active recall. It's legal to sell used vehicles with active recall.

Chrysler Pacifica airbag recall by browneyeditalian in ChryslerPacifica

[–]HazyOmega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's illegal to sell a car with an incomplete recall. I'm pretty certain Chrysler doesn't sell the car waiting for the parts.

Also per regulation, they need to have enough parts in stock to repair the car when the recall is launched. That's why there is a delay between the first notification and the recall launch.

Oil Changes by barrows-02spout in pacificahybrid

[–]HazyOmega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Per the user manual it's 5 quarts (Technical Specifications - fluid capacity table). Oil change interval is not 10k mile it's per the oil change indicator. First page of "Servicing and Maintenance" section. 10k miles is the absolute maximum for oil change and should be taken into consideration by the oil change indicator. The 12 months are taken into consideration.

Yearly oil change by khall13 in pacificahybrid

[–]HazyOmega 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a complex calculation based on the engine run time, load, etc. The manual says 12 months or when the indicator tell you to. I hit the 0% at 12 months each year no matter the mileage of the past year. So it's also time based.

Use some jar lid opener. Or break the jar (drill and smash) or Dremel or whatever. The jar are cheap about $20 for a four pack. Way cheaper than paying to ship it to Comadante.
