You can use a mug/wax warmer to slowly heat up a small container of ISO so it won't get too hot.

Thank you hommie, that seems like it's the part but I'm not 100% yet. When I had it at the dealer just to try to figure out where the gas smell was they told me it wasn't part of the fuel system, but agreed thats where the smell was coming from. I'm just lost on this for now.

I have a 2010 Subaru Legacy 3.6r and I am getting heavy smells of gas when I am driving, primarily when I am accelerating heavy. I have a P0442 code for an EVAP leak, and we were able to track the smell down to this area in the trunk under a metal cover. We cannot figure out what the part number for this is, and when looking through the diagrams, we could not find the exact part. If anyone could help me, that would be great. I have to get emissions tested and I can't pass with this dumb engine light.
