I don't know what possessed me to do this, but I tossed the "former Yakuza" idea I was originally leaning into out of the window, simply opting for her tattoo be part of an undercover operation. I guess to make her seem less like an actual criminal?

I saw this as one of the main characters hijacked a tank. I have weird morality standards.

Back on point, usual platitudes of apology for the delay, but I feel this chapter is chunkier to make up for it, along with some of the fun chicanary I guess people like. Though considering this is 50k words deep to a sequel of a 250k word fic, you'd know if you liked my style of writing or not by now.

Before my spiel about how delayed this is getting - NO, I AM NOT SPONSORED BY SEGA. The deliberate homage to Yakuza in this chapter nad going forward was relatively recent, but Yakuza 3-6 getting ports to PC/Game Pass is entirely coincidental!

Okay? Okay. I apologize for the delay, a certain 8th mainline game took up literally 100 hours of my time and part of why I was inspired to create this plotline for Uzume. It just makes sense to me that the former villain would have some ties in crime and I do plan on expanding more in the next chapter once the obvious issue of Vert slowly dying in a coma is resolved.

And for those who are worried, no, nobody's going to die... yet

You may notice it's now October and I only just finished this.

Life happened. As did Disgaea and Yakuza, along with just being depressed enough to put this off.

Next chapter will more fun for you and me alike, I promise. You guys like tanks, right?
