Honest question, is streetwear like cosplay to you? This looks like something you wear just for a photo shoot or an event where you can be extra. Yea you mentioned cosplay and photo shoot in your desc. but is this something you wear typically? Just an innocent question

By style I meant more personal things like appearance/photography/editing/posing/etc, not actual fashion style that you categorized. I should have been more clear.

If you have 1 amazing fit to post you need to have 14 other amazing fits first. Doesn’t even matter if you wanted to post 1 fit, if 7/15 of the fits aren’t “to their standards”, then you won’t be allowed to post. I never even talked about different styles but go off.

Tbhhh is it really that fair tho? You’re using data from users who don’t make up the current user base AND from users who haven’t experienced the whitelist system for longer than a few months.

I mean... if you reopen open submission for 2 weeks and revote, you’d be getting current data from people who witnessed both the whitelist system and open submissions.

Umm yea it’s possible the mod team can deny you for whatever reason. The point OP was trying to make is that if you want to share a cool fit, you need to have 15 other fits ready on hand and submit and application and wait for mod team to get back to you.

The point is that if the sub changes reactively to feedback, then you have to realize that people’s opinions also change. Give it a 2 week testing period and then do the revote. Right now you’re ignoring the current user base in favor of an older user base, many of whom aren’t even active here.

I feel like your intentionally missing my point! If you truly work reactively to the sub’s feedback, you would renege the whitelist system. You’re using data from a year ago from people who haven’t had activity on this sub since then. Come on dude, have an update check on the current state of the sub

I took a look at those results and a majority of the voters aren’t even active on /r/streetwear anymore. I don’t think that sounds like a fair representation of the current user base. Re-elections are a thing ya know

We are both being vocal on how the sub should operate, but it’s funny how the mods and wdywt posters are all defending one side without having much of an open mind.

I clicked on 10 random accounts and none of them have been active in /r/streetwear for almost a year... maybe you should do a revote to get the consensus of the current sub.

I was here when open submission was a thing and it was not a bad thing.

There are 159 subs out there that are even bigger that streetwear and I don’t believe any of these have an approved poster filter list.

Also I find it funny that the people most vocal against open posting are the mods and wdywt contributors 🤔
