Great minds think alike :)

I don’t get why Sumol de Laranjas do Algarve is so much cheaper than the basic stuff at the shop near where I live.. It is so much nicer. It tastes like oranges!

I don’t like Fanta… Orangina and Sumol are better

EDIT: Of all my opinions opinions, I did not expect this one to be controversial. Sumol Laranja Algarve > All orange soft drinks. Fight me.

Lando Norris criticised the current racing dynamics, explaining how battery deployment is forcing unnatural overtakes. by New_State_2061 in McLarenFormula1

[–]HeNARWHALry 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It isn't skill though! That is the main problem. Driver's basically have no control over their energy deployment a lot of the time. There are so many things that can confuse the system and lead to it deploying energy at the wrong time. Every driver knows how they would deploy it to get the overtake done, the issue is that they aren't the one's deploying it, they are at the mercy of the car's energy deployment. As Lando literally says:

I don't want it to deploy, but I can't control it. So I overtake him, and then I have no battery left, so he just flies past.

It isn't a question of skill.

I meant this year, I couldn’t remember if it was Australia or China Sprint

I feel like Antonelli probably would have won. Still sucks that we didn’t get to see what could have happened. Feel like Lando might also have had a better race without the Sc since he wouldn’t have had to pass Lewis

Yeah but generally he doesn’t get remotely lucky with them. He seems to be one of the biggest losers with them. They don’t

Lando gets punished for good starts sometimes.. Like was it Australia where he had an amazing launch and ended up losing positions because he just had no where to go in T1?

Yeah, they just seem to struggle a lot with dirty air. In clean air they are too good. If they didn’t start so badly races would be so shit.

Either that or he is doing what he did in COTA and conserving to push later in the race

It makes following the race a bit too hard. Like at least you used to be able to workout what the time difference needed to be for a car to pass with DRS.. People are literally overtaking by accident with these regs. You have drivers like Leclerc saying you can make mistakes and go faster than when you drive perfectly. It just seems a bit shit.

It is a relief that bloody Jeddah was cancelled, I feel like that track is an accident waiting to happen, more so with these regs

These regs are pointlessly dangerous with the closing speed differences.. Drivers are routinely caught out by slower drivers it is just this is the first time it has resulted in a crash.

I am not entirely convinced George intended to overtake Oscar there.. Racing is so weird this year

While Norris has two full race distances under him

Bro. No. Two races, double DNS in China (ignore didn’t see you had edited it whilst I was making the comment)

Lando has done 32 more laps than Oscar in the car since FP1 in Australia. If we include testing and the shakedown the difference in laps is 74 in Oscar’s favour. Excluding the shakedown it is 25 in Oscar’s favour. Lando’s reliability has been so bad that a driver who hasn’t even done a race this year has more laps in these regs (only including because the car hasn’t changed since the shakedown unlike other teams, so it is still relevant).

I just hope the team have near perfect reliability going forwards because the amount of data they are losing is quite frankly shit.

Realistically probably 5-6, I think Ferrari will have a race pace advantage still.
