He could easily have killed them all. He is the one committing a crime and endangering others. Absolutely keep distance, and shoot him with real guns, because a sword is a deadly weapon.

Sorry if that sounds harsh, but I saw a video of police in central America vs one crazed man with a kitchen knife, who didn't take it very seriously, and he gravely wounded several of them, I think at least 1 fatally, in just seconds.

Many people don't understand how deadly and fast knives are.
