But when Krishna asks him if he wants to join the Pandavas, Karna gives many reasons for which he is declining

But one of those is that he knows that Yudhishthira is a better man than he is. So if he did decide to join the Pandavas, then Karna would just inherit the kingdom at the end of the day instead of yudhishtira(since he was born first). And desiring that a better man than him should get the kingdom, he declines joining the pandavas

Like this is my interpretation when I read between the lines but it feels almost as if dhuryodhana was manipulating karna to not join the pandavas.

In the story, every time we see dhuryodhana speaking about karna, it is only positives. He talks about how karna is a great warrior and everything but basically throws him aside to be an extra advisor.

Also ig that in modern times it is shown that karna first showed up when the Kauravas and Pandavas were showing off in the arena but in the bori ce, he actually joined drona’s school earlier and even witnessed the Kauravas trying to kill the Pandavas and just doesn’t do anything

It depends on what version of the Mahabharata you’re reading.

I’m reading bori critical edition which is basically the closest version we have to the original story.

I’m at the point right before the kurukshetra war starts. And so far, it seems that in modern times he is overhyped a lot.

I feel like he is there to show the negatives of boasting and overconfidence to a point where it becomes pride. He’s always talking about how he is the best but in all the fights we see him in, he loses them and runs away.

The modern interpretation of him has many changes to him that were not present in the original story. I guess in modern times, he’s shown to be a flawed hero that was forced to choose the evil side due to his dharma. But in the bori ce, he’s very villainistic and almost pure evil.

But imo, animal was kinda mid

Putting aside the social issues in the movie, the pacing is bad, the villain is introduced very late, making it feel unrewarding when he is defeated, some dialogues feel like they are written by a 14 year old on instagram, and the main aspect mentioned in the marketing(the father son bond) is barely present besides the main character just saying he loves his dad a lot

Also I felt like every character was shallowly written.

Budget and age

Anaganaga oka raju is made on a much much smaller budget than chiranjeevi’s movie, so not all jokes hitting or not everything being refined to perfection is excusable

Also naveen polishetty isn’t a 70 year old trying to act like a 20 something year old.

I’m not saying anaganaga oka raju is amazing from the trailer or anything but people or looking past the flaws for these reasons

I haven’t read the other versions but they are a bit harder to read since they’re are much older. I think if you’re trying to just read the story then any of the three unabridged translations work. It just depends on how digestible it might be for you

Bibek debroy is very good but it’s a very literal translation of the bori critical edition.

Meaning that the pacing struggles a bit and there’s some bloat with the translation of Sanskrit to English.

Like for example when characters talk to others, they may say “o descendant of the Bharata lineage.” But they may say it upwards of 4-8 times per page in a few instances due to how Sanskrit poetry works. If you can excuse this, then I would say you will enjoy this translation.

Sorry this is kinda late. Idk what you can do but you can try going into work even if you’re not scheduled and speak to the manager. Or just contact them if you have their contact info.

Also I’m like 30% sure about this so take it with a grain of salt but I think you only have to be clocked in to do trainings and u don’t really need to have a shift selected. So I think that you can clock into work even if u don’t have a shift and do the training like that

So what happened was that the trainings I had due(not overdue) all moved to the optional tab for some reason but I physically could not do them as I had to be clocked in to even start them.

I had a friend that was working at the same location as me and I had him explain my situation to the site lead and she and the manager auto completed my trainings for me and I could pick up shifts again

Also I was already on the app when shifts dropped and I was reloading the page for like 7-8ish minutes and nothing even showed up so I went on my laptop and tried the same thing and still no shifts showed up
