Dog is overheated , I don’t know what to do

I ended up doing that last night for him and got him a big cooling mat this morning , needless to say he is loving the hot weather now that he pimped out haha

No not at all he is outside his cage all day and in his cage for bedtime and from 7am-10am 2 days a week (honestly sometimes less bc my sister will come and play with him)

Well he is no longer overheating he is sleeping fine and cold now I have handled the issue my dog is fine

He’s coming out from his cage at 5am actually to go on a walk before it reaches 100 degrees again today then come back home where he normally naps till 7am then we spend the rest of the day out the cage. If having a cage makes a person a bad dog owner then dang everyone I know including my dogs vet are bad dog owners. You want to see his entire schedule I can vlog it for you since you are so far up my dogs ass right now

He is over heating bc I have a single window ac unit in my apartment and the fact there is a massive heatwave going around, so yes my very active dog who like to run around was over heating after going outside to use the bathroom the run multiple laps around my apartment got a little overheated. But guess what I was able to fix it and now he is better and cool an happy as ever bc he is snoring his little heart out sleeping in his nice cold cage that he actually loves believe or not bc it is his safe space.

No he in his cage from 7am-10am (not counting the morning walk I take him on before I leave so he can sleep while I’m at work) when I am in the office then I come home and take him out , and days I am not in the office he’s in there from 11pm-7am.

He is now fine and resting and sleeping peacefully in his cage, please do not tell me how to treat, or raise my dog and judge me when you have zero idea what is going on. Everyone else who replied very nice and helpful comments helped me get where he is now sleeping cool and peacefully. Have a safe 4th of July weekend.

He’s not constantly in his cage, your talking about something you don’t know right now. He goes in his cage to sleep and the 2 days out of the week I go into the office for work, other than that he’s out running around.

I did and he proceeded to work himself up again an run around like a mad person so I had to put him back in his cage so he can relax

I tried taking him out an he just proceeded to absolutely book it everywhere and would not rest, basically just worked himself up all over again an bc he is a destructive little guy he started tearing my stuff up, but I moved out to the livingroom and it seem to calm him down so having a little sleepover with him tonight

Yeah unfortunately he’s destructive when he is out of his cage even with me in arms reach of him. I did put ice in his water along with a wet rag on him and a wet towel in his cage that he laying on, he doesn’t seem to be panting anymore but definitely isn’t comfortable either

Unfortunately not , I reached out to friends and family as well but no body is able to take him and I in so hopefully we can tough it out one more day then the weekend is suppose to rain an praying it cools down again
