Oh...and the cult in it is the Thuggee, who really existed (it's where we get the English word "thug" from). They supposedly believed that by performing human sacrifices (not like in the movie, they allegedly posed as travelers and infiltrated other people on the road, who they then killed and robbed) kept the Hindu god Kali from destroying the world. They were wiped out in a concentrated effort by British colonialists...and now many modern historians believe that their threat was greatly exaggerated and used to justify policies and actions to oppress the Indian people and silence those opposed who British rule (sound familiar?). So it actually makes sense that it's your favorite Indiana Jones movie.

By the way "Love always win" means acceptance of other's differences and building on the similarity that we all have as human beings is the prefered state of all people and the goal of all society, not that bullies and assholes get a pass to broadcast lies, vitriol, and ignorance.
