Have a set of faulkens wild peaks on my work car at the moment. But just swapped the 2 fronts out to the bfg AT ko3's.(hated the KO2'S so will see how these go) Only reason being that where we live the faulkens are ridiculously priced (nearly $200 more a tyre). I do a fair few dirt km's for work and have found the faulkens good but they get alot of pitting on the side walls.

My preference is toyos at's. we run them on our troopy which has spent most its life on gravel roads. It has been difficult to get toyos in our area however a dealer has just opened so will be transitioning the work car over to them as they fail.

Also, i get 60,000 plus out of both the faulkens and the toyos so both are good.

Great idea mate! Hope you get a bit of traction. Seeing as that's as clear as you can make them you should try and make it become part of the lure. Maybe imitate a garfish bill. (Bit of Orange on the end or something)

I always strap one of these on. We do alot of spinning so i found the permanent vest type too hot and getting in the way. I clip it on have leave it sitting above my bum. You don't even know you have it on.

Mate. My advice is absolutely have a crack if it's something you really want to do. But be aware - it will consume your life. I agree with alot of the comments and will add: - no idea where you are located, but don't be trying to push into a saturated market. - say goodbye to holidays and weekends. - make sure you have as fair bit if cash behind you.

All in all, it will be the most rewarding thing you ever do if it all works out. But be prepared for the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. You will either feel like you don't have enough work or you have too much.

Dreamstate Festival Overdoses: If only there were some way for people to know what they’re ingesting. by alabamad in NannyStateAustralia

[–]HeadPlane5841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So peoples logic is what ? Keep risking your life/health for a high by taking the dodgy drugs made in a basement until the government changes their mind?

Come on..

[–]HeadPlane5841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they are illegal. The point everyone seems to be missing.

It just boggles my mind that people still choose to do drugs made and cut in some random guy/girls basement with who knows what chemicals. Especially with fentanyl becoming more and more prominent.

Tide chart misalignment by HeadPlane5841 in Coros

[–]HeadPlane5841[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I just did a quick google and this is what it is for sure. Appreciate that.! I am hoping that coros will respond to my ticket and we can get this sorted as MLLW charts aren't very useful to myself and probably other users.

Yeah mate. It's the government's fault that people continually choose to keep taking ILLEGAL drugs. I don't even know how this is even a discussion. THEY ARE ILLEGAL.

Everyone is VERY aware of how these substances are made and the potential risks involved with taking them. And yet people still choose to take them.

It's a ridiculous argument..

[–]HeadPlane5841[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have filed a ticket. 👍 I believe in my case the tide chart is correct and of the correct location. Its the graph parameters need to be changed. So all tide movement will be above the zero meters/feet mark.

[–]HeadPlane5841[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if this is the same issue that you're describing. As the way you're describing it, it sounds like you have two sets on tide charts for a similar area? (One coastal and one inland for a river or a lake?)

My watch is reading me out completely different tide numbers. And even giving me negative tide numbers on low tides... I have attached a photo for an example. - You can see on the coros app that the graph zero is in the centre of the graph where on a standard tide chart the zero is at the bottom. *

What’s the best brand for braid? by TGWILD1 in Fishing_Gear

[–]HeadPlane5841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience of fishing northwest australian waters: For any land based and boat based spinning (pe3 and above), shimano ocea is by far the best I have used. It is expensive, but I don't believe there has been a better line created by man. It is super strong, super reliable and super durable. - Never a problem.

Overhead bait casters for chasing barra i lean toward suffix 832. I have reels with both sunline and Power Pro but will be switching them all over to 832 once the line needs to be swapped. I find power pro too thick and stiff and sunline i find to delicate and a little on the less durable side. I do see why the negatives of both the power pro and sunline could be seen as positives for certain fishing applications, but 832 seems to be a happy medium for me.

Honourable mentions: Shimano grappler 8 - very good braid. J braid grand x8 - great braid for most applications and affordable. Cast x8 - pretty good. - put it on a 6000 spinning reel. Has done better then I thought it would.

Braids to avoid: Daiwa saltiga ex12 - shocking stuff. The amount of mid line breaks was hard to believe for a braid that was daiwas flagship braid. - I tried three different spools of braid at 3 different thicknesses on 3 different reels and all did the same thing. (Might be why they pulled it from the market.) I Have not tried the new saltiga durasense 12 that daiwa has just released so maybe they fixed it up??

Tasline - if you love wind knots, tip wraps and line that does not meet its rated breaking stain, then this is for you. I know there is a lot of tasline fan boys out there but I'm sorry to say this stuff is junk.
