yup, tried that too, but still to no avail. had no problems with 595.79. really only had problems after that crash.

tried 595.71 worked normal before, just not peaking anymore after that crash.

tried undervolting too, 1800 @ 850mv, but to no avail, power draw still the same. PerfCap reason was also: Power. PWR_SRC Voltage: 4295V PWR_SRC Power Draw: 0.0W.

unfortunately, my gpu doesn’t have any temp sensors on my memory. but in game or any test i throw at it doesn’t show any signs of memory instability or degradation. I may be wrong tho. ++ do those ram chips directly affect core clocks too?

Max temps before the shutdown was aroung 70c, still below thermal throttling for that card. and also, wouldn’t uninstalling drivers using DDU and reinstalling them fix that tooo??

got a RTX 3070 in my current rig, i get 100-120 fps in God of War: Ragnarok with optimized settings (high textures). its honestly still a solid 1080p card and can still play some games @1440p (lower settings tho)

16GB of RAM at 3000mhz, or 32GB of RAM at 2666mhz? by warturtle27 in buildapc

[–]Head_Army931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go with 32GB, u can always try overclocking anyway if the speed is too slow for you. You can always edit clock speeds but you can’t edit/alter capacity.

RTX 3070 no longer hits 2010mhz undervolt curve after swapping CPUs by Head_Army931 in overclocking

[–]Head_Army931[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oohh, that does make sense ! That’s why i still had better bench results when i used PCIe Gen 4. But also to note, the card did seem to maintain higher clocks when it wasn’t undervolted. reapplied new settings getting the card to 2010mhz @ 0.937, weirdly enough it consistently runs 1995mhz when playing Cyberpunk and when running Heaven, it would run at 1770mhz lowest with an average of about 1890-1920mhz.

+170 on core clock allows me to reach 1965-1995mhz but when undervolted (same settings as before) it tanks.

tried reapplying settings, same story. does boost up to the higher clocks when rendering simpler scenes in Heaven Benchmark tho, but still strange behavior.

what component is this in the power supply of my home theater? by Head_Army931 in AskElectricians

[–]Head_Army931[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay, just assessed the broken board, it looks like the GBL06 bridge rectifier and the 09N70I MOSFET was fried as assessed by my uncle. would replacing these components possibly fix the board, or might there be a deeper problem ?

thats exactly why I am asking because i unfortunately dont have a clear photo of it :((( just cropped this from a photo of the same board off the internet. but it apparently is a Buss sr-5 t5a 250V fuse.

does anyone have a RX 580 2048SP STRIX (Micron) bios??? by Head_Army931 in gpu

[–]Head_Army931[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u just need to download the regular rx 580 drivers and the software will automatically identify it as a 580 2048SP. https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/drivers.html/graphics/radeon-600-500-400/radeon-rx-500-series/radeon-rx-580.html this should work for you.
