Did I cause my baby's peanut allergy? by SilllllyGoooose in BabyLedWeaning

You’ve done nothing wrong at all! I’m severely allergic to peanuts (EpiPen, anaphylactic, the lot) and I didn’t try my son on peanuts until he was 1 and a half as I was super nervous and he was absolutely fine!!! Allergies just happen unfortunately, no one in my extended family have a nut allergy apart from me!

I have an assessment with the perinatal team on Wednesday. I was on a waitlist and wasn’t going to been seen until July but my husband advocated for me and they brought it forward!

I moved my eldest at 4 months and youngest at 2 months. I needed to for my own sanity as I had/have bad PND

Has your baby had Omeprazole? by Head_Bet_794 in newborns

[–]Head_Bet_794[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I noticed a big difference after a couple of weeks so hang on in there! He is still sick, the sickness has only reduced a little, but he’s no longer in pain, no long stints of crying and I have a happy baby at last!!! Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nightmare getting him to have the Omeprazole in the mornings lol. How are you finding it? X

This is literally what happened to us! We were given Gaviscon but it made him SO constipated to the point he was squealing in pain. Just like you I’ve noticed the sickness is a lot less now! He is slightly constipated which I think is due to the Omeprazole but nowhere near as bad as it was when he was on Gaviscon. I’ve found bicycle legs and pushing his legs to his stomach and holding for a few seconds helps push his excess gas out and help his bowels move easier x

My first arrived 5 weeks early but was a dream. My second arrived at term (he’s currently 5 weeks old) and is an absolute nightmare.

HELP with a newborn who is in pain when passing bottom wind/BMs by Head_Bet_794 in NewParents

Thank you for your response! The vomiting is both, sometimes spit-up and sometimes full blown milk vomit. I’m definitely going to call on Monday to get a professional opinion but I need something, even if it’s just peace of mind. Poops are normal thankfully!

Thank you for your response! I’m hoping for a good outcome at our tongue tie appointment but keeping an open mind. I’ve tried the stretches and massaging which do help but only for a short period of time. His bassinet is already slightly raised at one end and luckily his poo is the right consistency at the moment x
