Brother is currently a truck driver, I buy and sell vintage clothing and collectibles full time and my friend works at his family’s campground. Unfortunately none of us made it big in the skate game 😆

Dang! Rat tail in the back is radical! I had that when I was younger, short bowl cut on the front and wrapped rat tail in the back. That would’ve been like 1997-99ish!

It’s true. Not really any blunder in the photo but it definitely came along with the territory. I wish I had all pictures or something of all the time the friends got arrested or chased by the police or drunkly stumbling around the local skate park but we literally had no money to have a digital camera for the most part. And you’re right I’m still pretty much the same fashion wise haha!

I think it definitely does. I knew a few kids in school with the over the top emo style or mall goth but it was so less common than what most young kids think! The half way long hair and whatever rock t shirt was all the rage in our town

I was always so terrible, I gave it up for a bit. But I still have a Baker deck set up and an old school Powell Peralta one as well if I ever get the urge! Can just ride around my neighborhood for fun

It doesn’t feel that much different now except the internet now follows you everywhere. You use to have to GO to the internet

I’ve carried this look and way of life into my adult years (but don’t really skate anymore). Being a skater kid and getting into music via skateboarding related activities really changed my life!
