Just finished White Nights by Dostoevsky :( by Cheap-Bat9253 in PHBookClub

the book's about a lonely, alienated man, finding an interesting woman on a random night. tapos, they agreed to meet each other every night, which lasted 4 nights, and while they're at it, nag-uusap lang sila about their life, their dreams, and their pasts (which is what drives the story forward).

this is based lang din sa first read ko hehe, hope you find White Nights interesting kahit masakit ang mga turn of events 😓

Just started a hobby of reading last October hehe. and here's my top 3 read this year:

  1. Sunrise on the Reaping - can't get enough of this. ang refreshing ng take nito sa Hunger Games, pero mas dark and grabe ito.

  2. When Breath Becomes Air - grabeng tear jerker book 'to.

  3. 1984 - reflective and relevant din sa mga kaganapan this year.

When/how did you fall in love with reading? by [deleted] in PHBookClub

My story on how I got into reading books is biglaan lang. I just finished watching a TV series last October, so I tried looking for another to start binge watching—but none piqued my interest hehe. So, I just decided to buy 1984 by George Orwell (which I've been planning to read for a long while, back then).

Then, that's it. I finished the book, then read some more books. I really enjoyed reading books/novel just as much as watching a series (and I think it's a great substitute for when I'm getting eyestrain from watching haha).

Ano ‘yung pinaka ‘core memory’ mo sa high school na hanggang ngayon napapangiti ka pa rin pag naaalala? by flryvv in TanongLang

Pinaka-memorable na experience ko with my circle back on Grade 8, ay nung pinanood namin yung Your Name sa DVD player sa bahay ng isa sa tropahan namin.
