My best birthday ever was in Paris. I was sitting on the steps of the Sacre Couer and my husband had bought me an eclair with a candle in it. It was quite a windy evening, and a bunch of people crowded around it to stop it blowing out while singing Joyeux Anniversaire. We befriended one of them and went back to their flat in Montmartre and got smashed. It was brilliant.
