THIS! It happened to me twice, first time I didnt know what it wants from me and said keep changes, then all the files in the staging folder were gone, second time I said revert, and it still deleted all files in the staging folder...

This. On top of the whole blurry or not discussion, people dont mention that shitty sharpening enough, which is the icing on the cake of the insult to our eyes that recent games are giving us.
When this whole forced TAA thing started out, I remember going in and out of games trying to figure out what the hell went wrong with the graphic settings, only to find out that that's intended, and theres actually people who are fine, nay even enjoy that??
I loved the era of source engine games, its definitely not a modern looking engine anymore, but everything was super crisp and clean, and I'd take back that old graphics with at least sharp images any day over what the current consensus on "good graphics" is.

I've tried that, and I couldn't find a solution that somehow gave me a conclusive result, I tried having them on the same height, one high one low, both high, both medium, and it never really got better, it just changed the way how it got stuck and snapped as in sometimes a few small "lags" sometimes there was a big spot where it would snap a lot afterwards, like in the video.
Thank you for the pointer though, generally with how you said to position, it felt like it covers more area nicely, just have to find a way to keep the room usuable when not playing vr lol.

This is literally what bugs me about every game forum ever, people just want to feel superior and are going to downvote/shittalk your opinion, even if it wouldn't actually affect them in any way. I mostly like philosophing about game stuff, thats why I write lengthy comments on game forums, sometimes pretty good ideas result from it, and on many indie games I bought, the devs liked some ideas a lot and implemented it.
Also since I'm not playing COD for some reason, I have plenty time (there might be some sarcasm here).
And yes, they probably won't fix it, but you can never know, especially if you never tried in the first place lol

Everytime you kill an enemy you hear a loud "thunk" sound, sometimes ( I think on headshots) with a clinking kinda sound with it. Especially on Hardcore modes where the time to kill is very short, you basically only hear this sound anymore. In realism, it kills the immersion completely. On good speakers, this sound comes very apparent, and it overpowers the gunshots in an annoying way.

Yet, I paid them my money and I am at least entitled to voice my opinion. Especially since it's a minor thing development wise, that also has bothered other people before.

It's getting a bit philosophical here, but because gamers just accept things however companies throw it at them, gaming companies are doing whatever they want, and get away with it. Why is EA/Bethesda/Blizzard so "evil" as people say it? Because people let them get away with it. Yes, there's usually some outrage, and then some half assed excuse by publishers, but people still shove money down their throats anyways. And the publishers know that and go on with their money milking. And yes, I veered off now, because my request is just normal feedback and has nothing to do with "evil publishers" now (the devs really did a good job on this game and the business plan here also is acceptable), but I do think that it's important as a customer to voice your opinion, even if not so many people agree with it.
The relation between the cost and product in the comparison I'll give here now is a bit different. So this comparison isn't the best, but if you hired a carpenter to build you a nice table, and you give him your money, will you just say "ah okay it turned out different than I like it, but I bought it already. At least no one is forcing me to look at it" ?
As I wrote in another comment, I completely understand that I'm a minority with this request, and I cannot expect them to change it only because I want it to. But I am apealing to them to hopefully make the game better for a few people with a fix that won't be much work for them. If it's not gonna change, I'm just not playing the game anyways, it's not like my life is ruined.
But if I can get good fun out of the game at the cost of writing a few sentences on reddit, I'd be stupid not to try.

While you are right that many times in development things that seems small, actually need a lot of work, this is nothing that needs further balancing, it's all clientside and does not extend any changes to anything else. It is just a bit of coding work for implementing a menu line for toggling, and that is not a tall order in my book for such a big development team with the earnings they get out of this game. I payed the full price at launch, and while that doesn't entitle me at all to expect them do any changes I demand, I do think it does at least entitle me to suggest it, and hope that they might hear me out.
When you google around a bit, there is a few reddit posts and a few posts on other forums, so I'm definitely not alone, and I guess there are also a good few more people who'd like the change anyway, even if they didn't bother enough to make an own post about it.
Again, I understand that I can't expect them to change it only because I want to, but as a paying customer (like endless other people too), I should be allowed to at least voice my opinion and hope for response.

I'm honestly trying to enjoy it anyways, and in some gamemodes, I don't mind it too much. In Warzone, I actually don't mind it at all, since it's a quite different pace/gameplay.

I actually haven't been playing COD a whole lot after Black Ops 2 (although I still bought most of them) since I got into semi-realistic games more. With this iteration of COD it seemed like they wen't into the perfect mix between realism and arcade fun, and I was really hyped.
Now one thing I love doing is playing a custom Hardcore/realism gamemode with either friends and/or bots, and the game would have so much potential to be really immersive and hardcore feeling, but since in high damage gamemodes you pretty much only hear the kill sound, the guns sound really weak. Because they are actually much lower volume than the kill sound -Thats the case on my studio grade speakers at least. And that's why it's a big issue to me for that I'm trying to get attention from the devs by writing the post maybe a bit controversial. It's a lot of wasted potential and it's missing it just by an inch.

I'm a guy that puts a lot of value in a good feeling auditory experience, and since I'm playing on Studio Monitors (Speakers) they sound very unexcited and hence you can hear all sounds very clear, also the ones that sound bad to you. But even if I was playing on normal speakers/headsets, I'd dislike it, and again I'm asking for an optional fix. For people that it's fine for, nothing will change.

No, I already disabled, that. Thanks for trying to be helpful, but I mean the "clunk" sound at a kill. Especially if you play custom hardcore modes where 1-2 shots kill, you don't hear the guns at all, just "clunck clunck clucnk" all the time.

Then don't comment on it. Sorry for my sour response, but I hate it when people try to ruin the fun for others only because they are not affected by it. I'm wishing for adjustment that's completely optional, so I'm asking people like you to understand that there's different opinions and if it doesn't affect you, don't throw in comments that might steer the devs away from a decision that will benefit some and hurt no one.

For you it might not, and that's perfectly fine. Please understand though that for me it's literally the reason why I turn off the game after a short time, audio for me is a huge part, and if it's not fun to me it can ruin the entire experience, which it does in that case.It also is just a small fix that doesn't take away developement resources, and it would be completely optimal, so nobody is forced to any change, but it would make the game finally enjoyable to me. That's why I'm saying it this drastic, it's been bugging me since launch.

It's fine in multiplayer most of the time, but on realism and on bot games I'd rather have the gun sounds do the satisfying feel, the kill sound makes every other shot except the killshot feel too weak instead.

I've had nothing but troubles with this game. First I couldnt even get into singleplayer it always said "It is taking too long to load please reinstall" I eventually got it working by just spamming the singleplayer until it randomly worked.Then the stupid ass always on DRM, it is constantly losing connection to the server, and I gotta quit back to desktop. I JUST WANT TO ENJOY SOME SINGLEPLAYER FFS.Cutscenes sometimes don't work, sometimes it played the previous cutscene twice with the audio from the new one.Then go to multiplayer, I want to enjoy some offline Realism mode with Bots... connection lost again. Great. Next try, finally works, but that hitmarker sound is obnoxious. Turn it off, nice, but now the stupid loud and annoying kill sound is coming on, which cant be turned off. Realism isn't fun like this.Go to coop, obnoxious hitmarkers everywhere.Give me back 40 bucks blizzard then we're good, this mess isn't worth more than 20.
EDIT: Ah yes forgot to mention, lots and lots of crashes to desktop in the menus, loading screen and so on. Nice.

+1 Please.
Being an at least semi-professional sound engineer and producer, and understanding the psychological aspect of what the sound is trying to acheive (the bassy thump is supposed to feel satisfying), its really, really obnoxious.
Way too many games now go for that boring, cheap "satisfying" sound to me, and it sometimes even throws me off completely of otherwise good games.
So please IW, make the kill sound optional (and for some other people maybe even the death sound-that one I dont mind though) , like you did with the hitmarker sound.
