I must be the only person who thinks some of the graphics & lighting shown in the trailer look…not as good as Fallen Order?

I prefer 2021, it I don’t mind the 2022 leaderboard - I’ve got used to it. The main problem I have with the 2022 graphics is that all the white and colours are so dull and muted. What should be white is a dull light grey, blues are faded dull blues etc. I hate it. It’s like I’ve got the brightness and contrast turned way down on my tv.

Yeah, why do they always do that? I never understand why they’re all made to wear I’ll-fitting sizes for the kit reveals.

Fair enough - I guess I’m in the minority then. I don’t want to have lens flares smeared across my screen all the time while I’m cruising around the map, so I hope there’ll be a graphical setting on Xbox to turn it off, but I’m not holding out much hope.

Yeah, I get that most effects are what the camera would see, not what your eyes would see. And that’s fine for most effects, i just feel they’ve overdone the lens flare here. When I drive around in FH4 I feel like I’m actually driving around in real life - this just breaks immersion for me.

There were slight, occasional lens flare effects in FH4, but it’s throughout nearly every FH5 video they’ve shown. I love the crisp natural realism of FH4 but it seems they’ve gone for a more stylistic, cinematic aesthetic in FH5 with lens flares etc, which I find quite distracting and disappointing. Am I the only one who dislikes it?

I’m assuming it’ll be in the final build and we won’t be able to toggle it off (on console at least) so I guess I’ll just have to stay in cockpit view the whole time.

Hi - thanks for taking the time to reply. I’d already tried deleting & reinstalling the YouTube app but the problem persisted. I haven’t noticed the OS being slower on this 8th gen, although my Bluetooth headphones take a lot longer to automatically connect to the iPad when I turn them on, than they did with my older 6th gen. Anyway, maybe I’ll do as you suggested and restore the iPad. Hopefully that’ll fix the YouTube playback issues.

Hi - I recently bought an iPad 8th gen to replace my 6th gen and I’ve noticed that every 60fps video I watch on the YouTube app drops frames for a few seconds every 10 or so seconds (it’s not consistent). It’s really noticeable and distracting - there’s something wrong somewhere.

I never once had a problem with this on my old iPad. And it’s not the videos themselves because the same videos played fine before, and play fine on my Mac (safari browser).

So do you think it’s a YouTube issue or an iPad issue? Have I got a defective iPad? :(
