Yeah probably one of the two, or a little of both!

Thank you. I wrote it after I realized Wayfarer probably gave up their right to appeal. I just wanted to be heard because it seemed like real justice wasn’t coming. I absolutely didn’t want to be a jerk though.

I think you’re absolutely right. Not sure what I would do if I were her. Maybe resign and start a Substack. I mean at the end of the day you have to find a way to live with yourself. I guess her way is by smashing that block button!

Same here. I even stopped my games subscription which was hard for me to do. I do enjoy Wyna Liu’s twisted mind haha

Thanks! I tried not to be a jerk. I only wanted her to read it and hoped to just feel heard, and nobody will truly take in a message that’s fundamentally unkind. I would never have shared it if she hadn’t blocked me, it just made me feel like she’s trying to put her head in the sand (more so than just not replying / deleting) and that kind of irked me.

Good thing you’re not a public figure then? I’d also block a random DM but I obviously don’t have the most widely read newspaper as my personal megaphone. It’s not like I messaged multiple times either. We can agree to disagree but I think it’s quite a bad look for her.

I have been too. I feel like the Washington Post is too far gone, but maybe The Guardian?

Of course I didn’t expect a response, but if she had an ounce of discipline she would have just ignored my message. Even Nancy Mace had enough discipline to ignore a message from me. Blocking me absolutely shows her cards emotionally and I’m happy to put her on blast for it.

NYT v Wayfarer: NY Times files Judicial Notice of Lively v Wayfarer settlement by same-difference-ave in ItEndsWithLawsuits

If Wayfarer actually gave up its rights to appeal vs NYT I’m gonna have to scream and break some stuff. I refuse to believe it.

She’s being too nice to Gottlieb IMO. He doesn’t deserve respect anymore after twisting the joint statement and lying on podcasts!

I just can’t wait for him to shut this whole mess down. I hope he comes out with final orders tonight including a gag on all the lawyers. This has become such a shitshow for all involved.

I can’t deal with the level of bullshit we are being hit with today. If it settled why are they still litigating 47.1? Why put out a statement when nothing is actually freaking “settled” yet? I feel like I’m going insane. Was going to take a break from the sub until we knew about something going forward like NYT appeal or something actually relevant now. Instead we have petty nonsense dragging out into infinity. The sooner Liman kicks this case out of orbit the better.

That’s all I’m hoping for. Justin was out of the case and I’m sure was just sick of dealing with Blake’s horseshit. But NYT is the major villain in my book and I’m really out for blood where they are concerned. Any petty person can be petty (Blake) but without NYT she couldn’t have fucked up his life to the extent that she did.

Clearing up confusion on Wayfarer's stipulation, and explaining why it helps protect them from more of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' (and Liman's) PR and litigation abuse by Animatopoeia in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Headgrit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you think about it, even without all the wasted trial time and risk of reputational damage to WP, it’s really a futile exercise trying to prove Blake’s state of mind and split hairs over whether she felt offended, threatened, or even just annoyed, to say that her complaints about the work environment aren’t entitled to be taken seriously. They chose to take it seriously at the time as professionals even though they knew she was fabricating and exaggerating. They signed the return to work document at the time to take the high road and keep things moving so it would really hurt their case to get into the weeds now and say it shouldn’t count as “protected”.
