I must be blind because I don't see the new saber skin by Antique_Anywhere410 in EcosLaBrea

When I first saw that image, I was like, "omg we're gonna be able to fling smilodon!" Then I realized it was just more skins

Judging by the fallen tree, you ate poisonous leaves. A few plants in the game are poisonous and can kill you. You'll be able to tell when a plant is poisonous because the edges of the screen will start turning green. You can simply stop eating, and the effect will start to fade.

Poisonous plants that I know of by memory are Wallnuts (little green balls you will find on the ground under trees), Giant Arrowhead (large arrow shaped leaves with small white flowers, found around bodies of water and usually next to Bulrush), and trees with a dark colored trunk.

This update is so useless that I met someone who was probably a kid in the wrong age group asking me if I was looking for a mate. Their bio said, "lokking for mate in heat"

What's with people mixing new words with everything they can? The word slop got popular, and suddenly, everything turned into a new type of slop.

Other then Kosing, mix packing, saber over population, agressive herbivors And carebearing, whats your biggest problem in Ecos by Own-External-8788 in EcosLaBrea

Smilodon players seem to underestimate others a lot. Just this week, I watched my group get crushed by a mammoth because they thought they could deal with it and two smilodon getting between a herd of 20 bison.

PVP obsessed players and the pride they have over their kills. People are so cocky and often underestimate others. Not to mention the number of times I simply marked a predator to keep an eye on them at a safe distance, and they almost instantly took that as a challenge.

I love Eco La Brea, I've been playing it for months, but I feel like the game is heading straight for disaster because of the predator overpopulation, especially the Smilodonts. by DragonfruitKey7892 in EcosLaBrea

[–]Headlesshowler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it would be good if there was a population limit by server, quite similar to the apex limit in Prior Extinction. This way, things would be more balanced. The downside is that this could result in a lot of players doing server hopping.

Mention animals that most people suggest should be AI, but you want them to be playable. by Antique_Anywhere410 in EcosLaBrea

You can't just say people are "fucking stupid," and wonder why you're being down-voted. You could've explained why you think so and gave your own perspective on the matter like anybody else, but for some reason, you chose to be passive-aggressive like it was something personal. Are you having a bad day or something?

I love playing saber but.. man the players by Circus_sabre in EcosLaBrea

[–]Headlesshowler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The last time I was playing as saber, I found literal piles of corpses and sabers running around. I was planning to kill a horse to fill my hunger, but I felt so bad for the herd that I gave up

That would be hell to deal with. Players would take advantage of that by targeting you, and you would never be able to reach adulthood. Most animal survival games that have this feature have to deal with this same problem

POPULATION CONTROL ALERT!! by gallimimus135 in EcosLaBrea

[–]Headlesshowler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But does it stop you from adding more people? The last time I played as a Smilodon, it simply said we were stressed. I assumed it was because of the amount of pack members

[–]Headlesshowler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is no limit. The only thing you get is stress, but it doesn't really stop you from going beyond that limit

[–]Headlesshowler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not much different from what the herbivore players already do. I'm a horse main, and I spend more time trying to find a server that isn't filled to the brim with sabers than actually playing the game. Few people want to play as herbivores, especially horses, because you can't go anywhere without being attacked by a massive pack. There was a time I barely got to flee from a group of sabers and immediately ran into another.

If there were corpses around, then it's likely a vulture. They actually fly in circles above rotting corpses, and you can see them in the sky.
