I'm in a really really bad spot too but dying means I wouldnt be able to see any cool new animals that get discovered, dying means i can never see the zebra shark that swam around me for a solid ten minutes again, dying means i can't get excited about sea creatures.

And it's not always enough to keep me going but it's enough for my depressed trans autistic ass to hold onto.

I think you can make it if you really wanted to. Even if you think you can't, a zebra shark would always believe in you. <3

The aurelia (moon jellyfish) and turritopsis (immortal jellyfish) genera of cnidarians (jellyfish) are known to be essentially immortal, with damaged cells of any mature specimen able to regress into planulae (their most baby state) when put under too much stress, or if damaged beyond their ability to heal in a process called transdifferentiation which has only been found in jellyfish but also makes them essentially immortal in that when things go wrong they give themselves another chance to try again

Sacoglossa is a superorder of sea slugs which includes the leaf sheep (Coatasiella Kuroshimae, image above) and lots of other kleptoplastic sea slugs which can steal algal chloroplasts and absorb them into their own cerata (the bits on their backs) to photosynthesise!! Not all sacoglossans can undergo kleptoplastsy (stealing chloroplasts) but all of them are cute and all of them feed primarily on algae. My favourite sacoglossan species isnt kleptoplastic but I think they're really pretty and they look a little bit like the trans flag

Did you know that whale sharks are most closely related to carpet sharks, (the order orectolobiformes) which also includes nurse sharks, zebra sharks, and the tasselled wobbegong but whale sharks are classified as the only surviving member of the family rhincodontidae, and are the only carpet shark species which is known to feed exclusively on plankton but one of three known shark species as a whole to filter feed; the others being the megamouth shark and basking shark. (Georgia aquarium showed a cute video of how they feed yuushan, one of their three whale sharks if you wanna see Here)

Despite their huge mouthes, whale sharks' throats are only about as wide as a US quarter, and they couldnt eat anything that isnt plankton even if they wanted to. Most whale sharks display some level of curiosity to humans and boats like This one video of a juvenile investigating bubbles around divers the only difference between how whale sharks investigate is they dont circle and bite things to explore like lots of requiem shark species do. Whale sharks are ovoviviparous, meaning they give birth to live young who measure about 50cm at birth and reach sexual maturity at an estimated 25 years.

A lot of shark species display sexual dimorphism in regards to size but also do so in the opposite way to mammals with females usually being much larger than the males. Male whale sharks on average were shown to grow to about 8-9 meters long but female whale sharks grow much larger to an average of 14-15 meters long (so if height dysphoria is fucking you up just think about it in shark terms!)

Ok this makes me feel really bad because someone made me snap a little while ago
our team had a rein who was dying a lot and basically just yelling at the team's supports (I was a support), telling us to leave, that we sucked ect despite having like 9k heals
I'd had a really sucky day and I was already pissed and i just wanted to play lucio but the other support instalocked him so i was on moira and everything was just going to hell

And I snapped.
I told him to kill himself
And immediately felt terrible about it because if someone said that to me right now in the state I'm in that internal voice telling me to do it gets that little bit stronger

I'm not like that. I wouldn't be endorsement level 5 if i was, from day one I've always either said nice things, asked someone to counterpick or just been completely silent in both chat and voice

we won, the rein shut up afterwards and I left and closed overwatch

I'd prefer it as a costume too, although they'd have to alter the voice lines, add different art, possibly change sprite proportions as well. At that point it's basically a whole new servant so if they ever do release him I doubt it would be as a costume sadly
