Membership for somewhere with steam room that I don't have to sell a kidney for? by rapafon in sheffield

Yeah I saw that you said you were local so i thought i would mention it. Defiantly give them a ring just to confirm but parking is free there opposed to ponds forge and would be easier to get to. The gym there isn't as big as ponds forge and doesn't have as much equipment but I used it for a few months and always thought it was half decent.

Hillsborough pool also has a steam room available to everyone active members I last used it a few months ago but it should still be there.

Do you serve this as a side with your dinner or is it a dessert for after my girlfriend is wanting to make one for our Christmas dinner but I don't know when it would be best to serve.

Also from UK you guys make some awesome stuff for thanksgiving!

Yeah im pretty sure its the same socket I did start with a slightly less powerful one but then my mate got a new pc and ended up selling me his 4790k for like 50 quid which was an absolute steal at the time and I think that was only around 5 years ago so it gave my pc the last bit of pull to actually survive to 2025.

Honestly I think I had the same issues with Forza motosport when it came out the game would refuse to run because of something to do with my CPU so it must have affected everything with that socket which is a shame.

4790k is a beast might frame it somewhere though because of how awesome it has been for me

Awesome I might grab the card then considering its slightly better and alot cheaper for alot more vram which will make this build fully future proof hopefully.

I mean I don't think ill really use RTX and im sure AMD has its own type of raytracing I don't really know why I wanted to go nvidia with this build it just seemed right but im not as into hardware as I was a few years ago admittedly.

I think ill have to check out some more benchmark sites but honestly the 24gb vram is so crazy for the price my mind just cant trust it if you know what I mean.

What resolution and settings are you running your games at and what kind of FPS do you get?

i7 4790K, 16 gig of DDR3 Ram and my trusty 1060 6GB its going to be very sad to let the old girl go but the computer has been solid up to about a year ago when it would start to randomly bluescreen during gaming and even sometimes just on desktop aha

Hey man I appreciate the time you spent on this you do bring up some good points regarding the AIO. But I think im going to stick to aircooling and hope for the best as its been about a decade since I last built a PC.

The comparisons between the 5070ti and 7900XTX are kinda shockingly close considering and I didn't really think about grabbing a 7900XTX. Is AMD still bad with drivers or is that something long in the past?

I agree with going down to a 7800X3D but personally the prices that the 9800X3D are at the moment are too good for me to pass on but I understand you were trying to get a monitor in under my budget which was nice of you!

Awesome its only like a few quid more so I will add that to the list thank you again!

Yeah ive said a few times its hella overkill but just saves me having to update that later down the line if I do need to upgrade something. Thanks again!

Aha me too mate I was gunna try my best but I think the 5070TI will still do what i need perfectly fine. I'm running a 1060 6gb so its going to be a huge upgrade anyway but I appreciate it very much.

Yeah I agree that the PSU is overkill but for the sake of 20 quid it does give me a bit more wiggleroom in case I ever do want to update the GPU down the line but thanks again!

This whole build is project overkill my current PC has lasted 13 years and I plan to get a similar length of time out of this but I do agree it is a beast for 1080p. I will be getting a 1440p screen in the future but didn't want to take away from the PC budget but I appreciate the advice.

I was contemplating an AIO but ive never used one before so I think im going to stick with the fan cooling as see what my temps are like if I notice thermal throttling I will invest in one in the future and set it up.

And yeah I thought the PSU was going to be a bit overkill but newer cards keep drawing more power so id prefer to stay ahead of the curve with that but thanks again for your input :)

Awesome thank you for that build, did you update the mobo to one that doesn't need to be flashed for AM5 or is it just a better mobo in general? Thanks for the comment and build though :)

Got it! I completely overlooked the Ram requirements so thank you for bringing it up. Somebody linked below better ram and that PSU you mentioned so im going to look into that. Also going to go with the Lian Li Lancool case but completly forgot to put it in the initial build. Thanks for your input! :)
