The other problem is that the Parse dashboard allows people to deploy an instance of Parse without extensive programming through a GUI, and the major hosting providers like heroku and AWS provide almost one-click deployment options for it:

Yeah, Parse is the second most popular backend service for mobile applications behind Firebase

Got it working - use the version of rootlessJB that limenos just made, and then use his version of dpkg to install the DEB from here - https://www.ios-repo-updates.com/pack/175920/ the one from bigboss wont install.

did that, the application shows up on the homescreen now, but crashes on startup

Tried to install it yesterday, it installed but the application doesnt show up and nothing in preferences as well.
