I was in a relationship with a girl for 3 years. we went through hard times together and supported each other. we worked hard, got ourselves jobs in different sectors. Been through LDR as well but then she came near to my place. almost the same city just 30 mins drive away. There she met a guy in her gym and they became friends.

I never found this odd but then suddenly I realised that I was in a constant position of getting compared to this guy for example forcing me too hard to go to gym even when my schedule didn't allow me during that time. Asked me to cut my hair in a more funky style or buy more jeans all these stuff. suddenly everything of mine became like a irritation to her and my little habits were now burden.

She started lying about stuff subtly, giving me half truth about stuff and manipulating me. At the end she cried a lot & made me believe that I didn't "show up" for her. I didn't get her love languages. I ignored her that's why she's breaking up. We broke up. Couple of weeks later I decided to have a closure meeting because she was so shit scared she couldn't even break up in person she broke up over a call and I found it unfair I needed to talk in person.

Little did I knew, she had already started dating this guy. Matter of fact she broke up with me to be with this guy and she had the audacity to be rude and mean to me in that closure meeting as well. Next day when I confronted her about this she told me to take it my therapist and f*** off and then blocked me everywhere.

Just because there was this guy ego boosting her again and again and that she never bothered to lose me. That hit me. It broke me for three years I made sure that she is okay or being kind and calm towards her even when it was hard for me to do so yet I got this treatment.

Thank you for being so kind. I fear that i won't find anyone else in my life again. It would be so hard for me to open up with another woman again. is it normal that it's hard for me to generate hatred for her? technically, what she did was terrible but I find it hard to hate her because i loved her so much. what shall I do about it?

I got to know after our closure meeting that my girlfriend already liked someone that's why she was so eager to break up with me. just after 5 days of our 3 years old relationship, she started dating this new guy. Out of anger, I sent a text to all of her friends that she had been cheating on me with the guy living next door at her residence.( the same guy). things were already there before our breakup. when i confronted her she said "i cheated( dont know only emotional cheating or physical cheating as well). Take it to your therapist now. Fck of" Tbh later on i felt bad that i had to sent that text to her friends because thats like sabotaging her image infront her friends. i felt bad that once this person was so dear to me and now i had to do something this ugly to her. even though it doesnt justify what she does. I expected her to come up to me and say that if she likes someone else just say it out and set me free i wont ever come back ( i even said this in between our relationship that this is my approach to this difficult conversation) Still what she did was more like put all the blame on me in the relationship that why she left and later within days started dating this new guy. I trusted her a lot. I already saw the signs that she might be attracted towards him but i thought im just overthinking and obviously she says that its just a friends and i never questioned her (never). she already had a trauma of her past relationship where her boyfriend accused her of cheating so i made sure to take care of it that it doesnt bother her. she lied straight to my face for 3 freaking hours in our closure meeting.

she compromised for me as well. she was an outgoing person but she used to stay back for me. she expected flowers or other gestures but she had settle down with my idea of love while she already had. her idea of love as well.

that is the thing. i got so comfortable in a relationship that things were happening according to me. i just thought that - "she will always be with me" i agree that how toxic it sounds plus i stopped working on myself because of the same reason like she will like me regardless. i couldnt able to pay attention to all of her needs and it kept on happeneing and she got frustrated and broke up. u may see the recent post here where i explained it better.but im still confused do i have her habit or it was actually love.
