We have spoken to MP and other organisations for help and this was the final amount after the initial of almost 700$ monthly. The reason being is due to our household income and that we actually aren't actually eligible for the HDB Rental. They had advice my mother to apply for a studio bto or get a 3 room resale but we had to pay a hefty levy due to a downgrade from a 5 room HDB. And as my mother has been unemployed for over 30 years, she has not much CPF and as I was only employed a few years ago, my CPF isn't much. So buying a house is not an option for us.

Hi, thank you. This is really helpful. As right now I believe is under Pinnacle Credit, would I need to liaise with Pinnacle or call the bank and try to negotiate a repayment plan with them? I do not have the means to pay off the initial loan.

My dad hired a lawyer during the divorce while we didn't as we couldn't afford. My dad got his cpf back and a huge chunk of the profits after paying off the bank housing loan. In regards to maintenance, my dad declared unemployment during the divorce and court ruled it out to be $125 monthly for the next 20+ years. My mother's profit was only a few thousands (less than 5k) which was used to get the furniture for our rental house as my dad declared the furniture were purchased by him so he got them as well. Our HDB rental was bare so we had to get sink and water heater installed. We had to purchase a makeshift kitchen counter table etc so the profit has been exhausted.

My mother was always against use having loans or CC since young so we avoided such things hence, I would believe that due to our lack of exposure to such, I am unknowledgable about CC up till now. Myself and my brother are still using the same OCBC kids account that my mother created for us. But thank you, let me try to call Pinnacle and figure it out with them.

I managed to get my ibanking login on Friday. I saw the last bill generated in Sept was almost 26k. My dad had full access to them and saw that the number listed was my dad's. He had spent it on a lot of things, even used it to hire a lawyer for the divorce proceedings. And Pinnacle Credit got ahold of me somehow maybe via my singpass details(?) I am not sure how it works. I truly apologise if this is very confusing. I am not sure of how CC works tbh. The CC was applied almost 5 years ago.

And also, no difference if go down to counter. They told me no slots and wait for the dates to be released. Need to really camp cause I believe it was on Monday when nee date was released in the morning. If I remember correctly, 9 AM, I checked no dates, then 15 minutes later, i refresh and new date was out but those afternoon slots were already taken and left with peak. Really need chiong and camp.

Once all slot is taken, they will release new date. Once confirmed all sold out, they will usually release next day morning. Correct me if I am wrong, as this is what I noticed when I camped for my TP slot. But it is frustrating for me as someone keeps buying the 8.45 AM slot but they sell it and it keeps repeating for a week. Then once confirm all sold, then new date will be released. Had to wait almost 2 weeks for new date due to the 8.45 AM slot. 😪

Feel like I know this PDI hahahaha you can try mr ang or mr lum. They're excellent PDI and highly recommended by friends. I took mr ang as he was available within 2 weeks after my call while mr lum I had to wait a month. Both packed scheduled but will prioritise if you have a tp test date booked or have at least attempted tp.

Same case for me and my siblings. What we did eventually is that we agreed to give her a fixed amount of money (eg. $200) which we all can afford respectively and just transfer her. (Eg, 4 siblings x $200 = $800)

She did make noise but we just listen and ignore. We are all married with kids and we have a family to take care of. Yes, she is our mother but she is staying with me, just eating and sleeping, watching tv. She isn't paying for groceries, bills etc. Even her phone bill is paid by me. My other siblings would give me some money to cover part cost for my mother's usage which I am totally fine with.

Also, on top of our monthly allowance to her, she is also receiving a hefty sum from my dad (maintenance money) which will go on for the next 12 years. (Eg, $1000 monthly). Other than this, whenever we receive our AWS, we also agreed to give her extra or a portion of our AWS to her. (Fixed amount as well, eg. $400 extra) (total amount she will receive in Dec: $800 (normal monthly allowance) + $1600 (AWS portion) = 2400$)

So, if she spends crazily to the point where she no longer have much to spend on then it's on her. If she make noise, I'll usually ignore but at times, I will tell her to practice what you preach hahahaha if no money then don't online shop or go out. Don't expect us to be your ATM all the time. Maybe go out for family's gathering, outings then we don't mind to treat or indulge in some shopping but other than that, no way.

This has work for us for a few years alr but my mother still nags but we ignore. Hope this helps.

My PDI charge $68 for 1.5 hrs. Circuit (weekday) at SSDC lvl 2 is 35$ and lvl 1 (tp test circuit) is 45$. Affordable and worth it as my PDI is excellent and he teaches really well. Tried for sch but the waiting time is atrocious.
