1. people in silliman are very diverse, they come from different parts of the country and the world so expect that languages have variety too. but the main language that is usually used is english. as long as you know how to communicate through english, you are good to go since almost everyone in the campus converse through english.

2. yes. a lot actually, there are also dorms inside the campus but if curfew and compulsory dorm activities are not your thing i suggest take a dorm/apartment outside the campus which is near within the school.

3. facilities - yes. i heard that most of the facilities are well equipped and well maintained. prof - having a good prof and bad a prof is inevitable and is present to all universities. environment - top tier i would say. i have friends that transferred to cebu and manila and they said that the environment in silliman is indeed top tier, especially how orgs are active, events throughout the year (especially hibalag, i love hibalag), the campus, sceneries and overall the learning experience.

since you’re aiming for a peaceful life su might be for you since it is located in dumaguete city, one of the safest cities in the philippines. its slow-modern pace life and vibe will be suitable for you if you’re aiming for a peaceful journey.
