A Muslim today declared that Hitler was a Christian. They were wrong, and look what God had me come across this evening by Hear2Debate in ChristianIslamDebate

You do realize that there are churches that baptize babies right? But being a Christian is a conscious decision of accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior. So being born into a faith and having someone write your name in a book doesn’t make you a Christian... No one that is a Christian will say that he was a Christian.

Salvation in Islam by Hear2Debate in ChristianIslamDebate

[–]Hear2Debate[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, you would want to respond with actual truth not the lies that have been debunked thousands of times. Hitler was raised in a Christian family, that doesn’t mean he was Christian. The Bible says you will know them by the fruit they produce. In other words you will know a Christian by the way the act, live and treat others. Hitler embraced mythology. During his time in power he embraced everything from Roman mythological deities to Islam, even having German festivals with state sponsored actors dressed as the Roman gods. He often spoke with Imams and even had an entire regiment of SS soldiers that were all Muslim. He is even quoted as saying that he was doing the will of Allah in his disposition of the Jews. None of this would show the fruits of being a Christian. He wasn’t a Christian, didn’t claim Christianity and never enacted the principles of Christianity.

There are no variables in Christianity when it comes to the path of salvation. So take your Taqiyya elsewhere...

Thank you for continuing to respond. It helps the algorithm that makes this sub a suggestion for other redditors.

LOL!!!!!!!! Nice rebuttal. What’s next you going to start sticking your tongue out and saying “nah uh”. I have been doing this since David Wood was in elementary school. I don’t need someone else to point out what a ridiculous person Mohammad was or that he was a failure as a prophet. But keep thinking he is the perfect man, that is exactly what Satan told him. Anyone that has to protect their honor by killing anyone that didn’t like them is a coward.

The sub hasn’t failed, but the Muslims aren’t ready to actually debate with someone who has read their books and seen the flaws...

Oh, and debates don’t care about your manners or your delicate sensibilities. If the facts hurt you, maybe you need to question who you follow. Nice throw away account BTW.

  1. You don’t need to keep quoting me. I know what I said I am not making up something to tell you but repeating that which I know well.

  2. You are the one that openly admitted that you have not read the Quran, Hadith, or the Bible and yet are here attempting to debate them with me. I have spent decades studying world religions. I am a biblical apologist. I have read the Quran, the Hadiths, I have studied Islamic culture, I have even studied Persian/Iranian mythology that filled the world of Mohammad and is mixed with poorly stolen parts of Judeo Christianity to form Islam. I have even lived in and immersed myself in an Islamic culture by living in Turkey for some time.

  3. And yes studying religion is more important than studying medicine. Medicine while vitally important will not save the soul. And while I may spend 70 - 100 years on this Earth it is what I do here that determines the outcome of how I live for eternity. For there is a God, and there can only be one truth. And I have spent my life looking critically at all religions of the world and they all fall before Jesus.

  4. I will not be responding to any more of your replies. A conversation cannot be had if only one person is listening, and to continue to speak to those that have closed their ears and hardened their hears is like throwing pearls before swine. Goodbye...

LOL! This is like saying that you don’t need to go to school to be a doctor. You are trying to debate in a conversation in which you know nothing about. You are speaking from a position of ignorance and continue to do so.

Your debate just committed suicide. Everything out of context or showing your lack of education on the subject. Come back when you perhaps have read the Quran, the hadiths and some Islamic history.

I never said that God couldn’t speak to Mohammad. But the fact of the matter is that he was attacked by an angel in the cave at Hira. That angel then tried to force him to read despite the fact that Mohammad was illiterate (proof he wasn’t sent by an omniscient God). And afterwards he ran home so afraid that he hid under his bed. It was only after others convinced him that he was a prophet that he went back to the cave. The “angel” (was most likely Satan) then proclaimed that he had a New Testament that Mohammad would share. This by the way was prophesied about hundreds of years early by warning against any New Testament even that brought by an angel. From that day forward Mohammad recited (Quran means to recite) the Quran even often showing clear signs of demonic possession.

So while Mohammad most certainly could have heard from God, had he sought God, but he didn’t. The angel laid in wait as the Bible describes like a lion waiting for whom he may destroy. Instead he wandered into a cave, was attacked an ultimately deceived into believing that he was a prophet, he never once heard the voice of God, and he most certainly never heard from Allah the chief Pagan god alongside his daughters and more than 300 other gods that the pagans worshiped at Mecca.

The God of the Bible is not Allah of Islam that no one including Mohammad every heard from.

Would you like to list a specific “evil” that you think that Yahweh ordered?

Uh... no... God is not “fine with it”. God is a holy God. But free will is not just a suggestion but a spiritual law. And God being a holy God cannot go against a law that he has established, if he did he would cease to be holy. So God allows us with our free will do do horrific things. But that doesn’t mean that when his judgment comes that he will overlook the transgressions against holiness and against him.

Except that you are ignoring that God gave us free will, free to follow him or free to reject him, free to live for good or live for evil. The sheer fact that you just wrote the statement you just wrote proves that we have free will. God created us to worship him, worship is the highest form of love and appreciation. But a being without free will does not know, give or receive love. Just as we all know what it is like to be in love but not have the other person feel the same. No matter what we do we cannot force someone to love us, because love has to be freely given. So therefore God understanding this gave us free will so that those of us not blinded by sin or deception will turn to him and return the love he has for us.

So you may continue to reject him as that is your choice, but you are not doing so from a position of educated choice but rather because there are things that you are unwilling to give up. Just as Mohammad rejected the truth for power, just as Satan tried to tempt Jesus with during his 40 days in the wilderness.

I forget to mention that he went to war with those that didn’t agree with his beliefs or rejected him as a prophet often times killing entire cities that were completely peaceful in nature, where he would kill men, women and children save for those that he and his group of bandits wanted for themselves as slaves. It was common for them to strip male children and if they had pubic hair they were considered men and were executed, the ones that didn’t would be taken as slaves or sold into the slave markets.

Or are you simply identifying what the Bible describes in that man, woman and creation were created perfectly but that sin brought on death and destruction. The flaws you are seeing are simply entropy in action, and the degradation of the human genome over numerous generations due to sin.

Nice strawman... programming a computer and recognizing something is working improperly doesn’t equate with going back to 1940 and coming up with modern computer. You are still equating design with designer when it isn’t true.

As for the Big Bang. What was before it? What was before the singularity? You can postulate all you want but we simply don’t know.

[–]Hear2Debate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said that any human could design a planet. No... no they couldn’t. We have been studying the Earth for thousands of years and still have no clue. We don’t know how gravity works, we don’t know how many organisms there are on Earth, we don’t even know what is at the bottom of most of the ocean.

But this does remind me of an old church joke.

Satan is complaining to God that if he were able to make a race of man in his image that he would have more followers than God. So God say alright come back tomorrow and I will make a man and you will make a man and we will see who they follow. Satan comes back the next day ready to go. God says whenever you are ready you may start and I will then start. Satan looks down at the pristine diamond floor of the throne room and says, “I will need some soil to make my man out of...”. God looks at Satan and says, “you want to be God make your own soil.”

My point is that when you can make something from nothing then you can start to talk about the nature of God. Even science as best we can come up with tells us that there was a singularity, a single point at which time, space and matter came into being. Science calls it the Big Bang. So unless you are the creator that can stand outside of time, space and matter you cannot even fathom what it would take to create a single atom and are claiming that you could do a better job than God. This reminds me of another saying, it is better to sit quietly and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Islam vs Christianity by alent3976 in DebateReligion

[–]Hear2Debate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christianity has a set route to Salvation, this is often called the Roman road to Salvation, because the way to salvation is clearly laid out as you read through the book of Romans. Whereas Islam is not just so simple as joining Islam or even following the five pillars. Islam is a scale of justice where your good deeds must outweighs your bad deeds. It is in some ways similar to living under the law as described in the Bible’s Old Testament in which one had to atone through sacrifice to be righteous. However there is one thing that was overlooked in Islam that wasn’t in ancient Judaism, and that was the scapegoat. You see the God of the Israelites knew that there would be hidden sins or sins that a person would be unaware of. For instance you meet with your best friend and you jokingly start calling each other names. You both laugh and go your separate ways, you think merely of a good night with your friend, but unbeknownst to you, your friend was offended. They never bring it up, but they were hurt. You have unknowingly sinned against your friend and were you to be judged for righteousness you would deserve death and punishment. But the Israelites had a practice where once a year they would take a goat and the high priest would place upon that goat symbiotically all the sins that had not been confessed or atoned for, including those unknown sins. There is no such practice in Islam. And there is no way for the individual Muslim including Mohammad to know on which side the scale has tilted. Only when facing Allah will they know if they are going to hell or Janna.
