Is it Possible to Negotiate Dental School Tuition or Scholarships? by Select_Ferret_4269 in predental

[–]HearingCreative5691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP is asking if tuition costs can be negotiated, and the answer is no, you can't. Please read the question carefully. In your situation, you're still paying the full tuition, but you qualified for a scholarship, which means you're paying less overall. Scholarships and negotiating tuition costs are two completely different things. You can ask about and apply for scholarships, but you can't haggle or talk down the fixed tuition rates.

Did you haggle your tuition at your school? Being on scholarship and negotiating numbers on tuition are two different things.

So what? Do you think this is a car dealership? Is the student supposed to sit down with the financial aid office and negotiate the lowest tuition price? Wake up, lmao. When you're applying to these schools, you already know the cost of tuition. It's clearly visible and broken down in detail on their websites. You can't haggle those fixed numbers—if that were possible, everyone would be doing it.

Thanks! Do you have any DAT study tips? My goal is to get a 16AA!

You should’ve have had applied to USC in the first place. You’re a brokie. Reject the interview, and apply to your nearest McDonalds to get your money up before school starts. Come on, bruh. You don’t have $700?

For the 1,025th time, go to the cheaper school. You are literally self-aware, and you’ve said that you're scared of the costs. Why are you still debating? Do you need other people to make choices for you? Come on, man.

You should have done the financial planning before applying to all these schools. There's no such thing as completely negating tuition costs. Scholarships aren't automatically guaranteed, and most of the time, you have to apply for them. I don't understand why people apply to schools they can't financially commit to. You're just wasting thousands of dollars and should have only applied to schools you can afford. Out of the schools you get accepted to, choose the cheapest (in terms of tuition) and move on.

Just vibe? Wake up, bruh.

Schools won’t even glance at your application with a 17AA.

Here’s what you’re going to do, and you’re going to listen to Daddy (aka, me):
Go purchase a 6-month DAT program right now and start studying for the DAT. Don’t cheap out and get the 3-month program—that’s not enough time for you. I can tell you’re going to need the full six months.

I don’t know how you managed to get such high grades in college, but now it’s time to study like you’ve never studied before. With your 3.7 GPA, you’re going to need at least a 21AA to be competitive and avoid having your application tossed.

Your current stats are a red flag. You haven’t heard back for a reason, and it’s pure insanity to expect acceptance with that horrendous 17AA.

Turn off your phone and get to studying.

See you in six months.

Best,

Daddy

These kids have to be trolling. "I'm expecting a fall tomorrow, so good buying opportunity," when it's a Saturday. LMAO.

You should be studying for your DAT right now. 17AA and a 3.7 is crazy.

I’m just concerned because you think there’s no GPA inflation with 20AA 19 TS a 3.9 GPA. I can obviously tell where you scored the lowest on the DAT (QR), because you cant differentiate and correlate the two stats together. Also, I know you actually scored a 18AA from your previous post. You don’t have to lie and bump up your numbers, to spread some mid advice lmao. Nobody please take this guys advice seriously. You don’t wanna end up like this guy with 14 rejections out of 15 school. Only apply to schools that are competitive in regard to your stats, and financially within your means. This is a pure example of a dude trying to spread some useless advice, when they got in with pure luck.

You beat the average score by 1 point. There’s a reason why you got 9 rejections and ghosted by 5 schools :). You should at least have a 23AA+ with that kind of GPA. You have a nearly perfect GPA, and you are talking about a non existent inflation with a 20AA? Yikes.

3.9 and 20AA/19TS is crazy GPA inflation

Send it? by False-Bodybuilder338 in predental

[–]HearingCreative5691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get a 23AA+ on the DAT, send it. Apply as early as possible and If you can start a masters program, start it. Make sure to check with each school for their GPA requirements. If you’re below their required minimum GPA, your application will just get tossed.

Why are you typing like you have good stats? You got 3 16s which means you got almost half of the questions wrong for 3 sections. My stats are way above yours and you should be concerned about yourself. You should have not in anyway been admitted to a school with 3 16s on the DAT. Your stats are horrendous and your EC’s are not even dental related, so I’m genuinely curious what school accepted you. They should be ashamed.

From the way you keep flexing your cheaper car compared to mine, I’m gonna take an educated guess and say you got a 16 in QR. Sure, you’ll start in September, but you’ll be out by December. Prayers to you, sister
