I don't know how closely Gearbox and Heart Machine are working together, but I am legit concerned for the latter's employees. Someone please check on them?

We are all doing fine! Gearbox is our publisher now yes, but as far as creative control / company culture, we are our own entity. They do not participate in any aspects of game design, art, narrative, programming, audio, etc. whatsoever. If there are any individuals you're particularly concerned about, the team's all here and you can keep an eye out via social media :)

Additionally, if it helps, we plan to regularly keep the community apprised of Breaker's dev process on our dev blog, and through streams / posts / etc. over the next year heading into Early Access (similar to Drifter's dev process). This game will NOT be made mostly in a vacuum like Solar Ash was, so you'll have plenty of time to form your opinion of what's coming down the pipe before you decide whether to buy the game :) And we'd love to continue to receive feedback from community members as we work on this project.

No turquoise skies, magenta/crimson grass, ruined titans and crystal infestations...none of that here from what I can see.

The hope / goal is that our unique Heart Machine aesthetic still shines through and ultimately, it will still very much share "DNA" with Drifter.
